Cheap sex is the problem!

Interesting take on things. The nuclear family has been eroding for a long time, the question is why. This article says it's cheap sex. I'll point the finger at the difference in gender roles and the rise of feminism.
Women used to need men to function as monetary providers while they tended to the household. Now women are expected and encouraged to make their own wage independently of men. That family teamwork has fizzled. Divorce has become commonplace and responsibility is unheard of.
Don't overlook the absolute horseshit that goes on during divorce proceedings either. Why men are forced to maintain a lifestyle for a woman they're no longer married to is completely beyond reason. Yet they impose huge alimony and maintenance fees on divorced men all the time. So we're what? Surprised less men want to risk it?

I believe that the failing family unit, advertising pushing keeping up with whoever, an using electronics as baby sitters is the reason. Most marriages fail, because the bulk of people marry for, Tit's , Ass or Money. Everyone wants Arm Candy these days because it's pushed in your face so much, even some threads on here. Divorcee ruling are out of hand do to lawyers an judge's. To me it should be a jury trial, 6 men 6 woman, nothing less. One fuck ball judge who is swayed that day by his wife or boy friend is not the proper way.
Perhaps men finally got tired of their lower body parts being used as a chain to bind them as lifelong slaves to godless bitches who then leave them but demand court enforced financial slavery for the original sin of being a man.
Once upon a time men at least got a little bit of respect/thanks/gratitude for slaving their lives away to support their families.
Now they might as well just get the sex and leave the ungrateful wretches behind.
The destruction of the nuclear family which is the foundation building block of civilization was a long term plan. Women were just stupid, greedy and selfish enough to be happy to help the destruction of society and their own downfall when the fed the lie of "Feminism" and "Women empowerment".

My wife and i both worked full time until my son was about 1yr, then i encouraged her to quit. Been tough sometimes, but overall i think i might have the happiest family on earth. Number two is in progress.
kinda get where the article is coming from, I've seen lots of friends and acquaintances get divorced, and many others refuse to get hitched, but i dunno if the theory holds water. I had tons of cheap sex and all the other things, but i also held in my heart the understanding that this woman was probably gonna end up being my wife and mother of my kids, which was kinda the point.
i think that's missing from a lot of folks. Unprepared to make permanent decisions. Unwilling to do their due diligence.

tried married, put more into it that anyone should ever have to. female ran out and left me with two little babies to raise. courts gave her everything she wanted, screw me blind. then, when that money ran out, she came back and wanted the kids (so she could get child support) and the courts took placement from me and gave it to her.
yeah, fuck marriage. the problem is walt disney. they girls are raised thinking it's midnight Balls with prince charming, rainbows and happily ever after. when they find out that they have to live within a budget, and kids require work and effort, and that life isnt always the fairy tale......they want no part of it. and society has made it really fucking easy to bail on it all. and consequences? shit, not only arent there any, there are actually rewards for them.
the great part is getting to the point in life where you done give a fuck about the bitches anymore. then they have no power. and the age-monster is creeping on them....men get better with age, women? not so much. if they're ugly on the inside, time brings that to the outside and it's fun to see.

Some interesting responses so far. I married late in life (27) because I wanted all the wild running out of my system. I'd seen what happens to kids/familys were that was not the case an wanted no part of it in mine ever. I married for love, not tits, ass, or money. We never left each others side in 39 years until cancer took her from me. Did we have disagreements sure, but we never woke up still mad at each other. We struggled with money issues like most people do, but the love we had for one another trumped everything, that came up. My family/kin have a long history of very long marriages to the point, death of one spouse is just over 97% of all separations, going back to when we stepped of the Pinta. I do not have high hopes that percentage number will hold much longer, based upon what I am seeing in many places. When the lower head over rides the upper, the consequences are mostly paid by others. Easy to be a dog/animal but remember, in that world mother nature, gets the last laugh. Might take a while but she has all the time in the world, an unlike many can control her emotions.
I solved the problem by marrying an asian woman.
We've had our issues, but we've been together for 34 years and she raised three respectful, successful children.
My wife still packs my lunch, takes care of the house (she also work part time) and generally spoils me.
I find it amusing when an American woman complains about not being able to keep a man, but then turn around and say they wouldn't do that kind of shit for their man. (i've had that very conversation with a couple of multiple, failed relationship women)

That is well said. I hope there is a special place in hell for the judges who let women use children to financially rape men.
I think the time is coming when a grand or multiple court cases are going to start the snowball coming down on women and money. I don't know when that will be; but, there are already some cases where the woman made more money than the man and she got to pay her fair share to the man. Equality is a bitch when you actually have to live it.
Haven't read the link but judging from the posts here I think I get the gist of it. The same thing over and over again with modern society...there is no such thing as shame and consequences anymore much less responsibility. It was once majority opinion and some places still is that welfare or children out of wedlock was something to be embarrassed of and you did your best to make sure you weren't part of it or corrected it asap. Now apparently it's an insult to assume someone is married just because they have children, much less assume they are married to the opposite sex. Lots of places it's considered an embarrassment if you're not on welfare or subsidized housing. Completely ass backwards way of thinking is becoming normal for a whole generation.

There's a thing now called Men Going Their Own Way. Their operating principle is the above and I don't blame them.
I've been happily married to an great lady for 28 years and counting. But if she were to be taken from me tomorrow there is no F-ING way I am wading back into the dating pool and let alone think about marrying again.
The last thing I need in my life at that point is some baggage laden, 3 time divorced skank with sagging tats.

Those that claim to be all about "love" and "compassion" turns out they view those attributes as harmful because if you "love" something greater than those that want to control you than they can never fully control you.

Much truth here. I was a late bloomer in that I didn't marry until I was 37. Not because I wanted to wait that long, but rather I was a psycho magnet. Long story short: I have been married to her for nearly 17 years now. She's a highly cultured Russian hottie 13 years younger than me, and very traditional. She's given me twin sons who are now 5. She stays home and takes care of them and the home and I slave away to provide for them, and i wouldn't have it any other way.
