The website states the lead time is 4+ months for NEW orders. We still are on track to begin shipping the early orders within the 8 weeks initially stated. As of this morning, price is still at 899 and it says 4+ month lead time.
That’s actually pretty amazing to me. Good job with the pre-planning on your part. Mine’s a LA though, so I know that I’m in for a wait. I’m totally good with that though, as I’m in no hurry for my next project. I know how it works with pre-orders of new products and would much rather receive a well vetted product. The website states the lead time is 4+ months for NEW orders. Looks like Area 419 and Short Action Precision are good options for both the AW mags and the Accurate Mag .223 AICS mags.
SAP may not charge tax for your state and offers free shipping on orders over $300.
I might have been wrong about that. I'd really like both short and CIP long action double-stack AW-type mags for the .532 case head family. Does anyone make one? I was laying that out yesterday and it might work fine in this action. I did not find one on either the Mile High or the Accurate Mag website.
Pretty sure a AW-type 338 Lapua is too big but the single stack is fine.

MK Machining makes AICS sleds if you don’t want to print oneSince 419 sold out so quick, does anyone have a CAD/STL file out there to 3D print a single shot style mag for an AICS or AW mag?
If you have a printer it would at least get you sighting in at a range while you wait on the cheaper mags to come back in stock.
Edit: wonder how well this would work in an action cut for AW mags:
AICS magazine for single cartridge loading by mathew86
This part was designed for Bergara B-14 HMR in 308 Win. to facilitate loading single cartridges. It is designed to fit flush with the stock. Should work with rifles designed to use AICS style magazines in .308 Win, 6,5 Creedmoor and similar short action cartridges.www.thingiverse.com
That’s all well and good, but they are still only 5 rounds for .338LM, same as available CIP SSSF mags albeit about 3/8” shorter.Something like this for the Lapua Case size would hopefully work. I assume, maybe incorrectly, that the extra width of the lapua single feed lips would be wide enough for the bottom bolt lug to purchase the case head.
Obviously bottom metal for this type of mag would be required but I believe (have confirmed) the LA Cadex Chassis are already able to utilize them.

Appreciate that. I do want to print one since i have a printer in the basement and was looking for a fast "have it in hand to shoot" situation vs. buying and ordering something.MK Machining makes AICS sleds if you don’t want to print one
I’m sure that’s for orders placed today, we should be good if you ordered the first couple of daysI saw that yesterday and cried a little.
I don’t think so, I think that’s current lead time due to current ordersSame here.
Does that count for the preorders placed on the 8th?
I believe this is correct, just glad i ordered the 8thThe website states the lead time is 4+ months for NEW orders. We still are on track to begin shipping the early orders within the 8 weeks initially stated.
I have files for a wall mount I designed, maybe I need to tweak ‘em and make a single shot… Aics and Aw, it shouldn’t be too hard I don’t think.Since 419 sold out so quick, does anyone have a CAD/STL file out there to 3D print a single shot style mag for an AICS or AW mag?

10 round 338 DSSF are available directly from Cadex. Same length and width dimensions. That’s all well and good, but they are still only 5 rounds for .338LM, same as available CIP SSSF mags albeit about 3/8” shorter.
Okay that’s interesting, though I honestly cannot find where you found the dimensional information. That has to be one of the poorest websites I’ve seen in a while and I’m not interested enough to spend more time on it.10 round 338 DSSF are available directly from Cadex. Cadex Defence – AICS Magazines
AICS pattern magazines dominate both recreational and military markets because they are affordable, reliable and commonly used by rifle manufacturers.www.cadexdefence.com
I think I read somewhere that the feed lips on the 338 sized AX mags had enough curvature/purchase to feed .535 (specifically 300 PRC) rounds.. How reliably though is another question..I might have been wrong about that. I'd really like both short and CIP long action double-stack AW-type mags for the .532 case head family. Hate to jump on this in this thread, but how about a drop down selection for the Seekins Hit? The specs are open source, you know.I spent about an hour on the phone with Ted today regarding finalizing the CDG headspace configuration. Based on that conversation things are settled such that I can take orders and we will hold chambering and tenons until the finalized print comes from ARC.
We will do the following on the orders:
- Pull the blank from inventory and tag it.
- Cut contour.
- Cut to length and cut muzzle threads (if ordered).
- Wait for the final approved print to come in.
I cannot guarantee that a hard and fast ship date can be met. If Ted hands me a print tomorrow the expected lead time is 6-8wk as usual, which involves the work listed above. If they don't give me a print for another 3 weeks then it gives me time to knock out the preliminary work and we'll go in a holding pattern.
The website inventory is current and updated so there's nothing for sale that doesn't have a blank to back it right now. We will work through as much of the metal cutting as possible right away to minimize overall lead time once we have the information to finish out the barrel.

I'm really excited about this. however I plan on going for a shorter barrel in a MPA Matrix Pro chassis and the 18" option is a bit longer than I want but I'm afraid the 16.5" may be too short. CIP length SSSFSo which long action magnum magazine will this accept?
As far as we know at this time. Bottom metal will have a lot to do with it.CIP length SSSF
So do we add the break to the order or mention it in order notes or what?Go for it. Place the order and I'll throw in a free Jetblast or Shockwave for anyone who puts in a CDG Prefit order.

Both will provide similar accuracy. Osprey will be cheaperAlso, which has the better average accuracy? The cut rifled rock creek barrels or the osprey barrels? If I go pva for the cdg, which blank has better accuracy?
Rock is cheaper. Both will provide similar accuracy. Osprey will be cheaper
Think rc is cheeper for button rifled but cut rifled is more. Not by a ton though... if there was an accuracy difference or barrel life difference id rather go that route.Rock is cheaper.
Didn’t realize he carried cut RC barrels. You can’t go wrong with any. I would suggest OBW as the Jet4 is the best damn brake on the market.Think rc is cheeper for button rifled but cut rifled is more. We are bringing the CDG on board as a standard prefit option. It's a "pre-order" with the free brake until Ted supplies that print to me. Then it becomes just a regular order. I don't know when the print is going to come in from ARC. It could be this afternoon, it could be next week. I'll announce when I have it.Excellent. How long is this pre order going to be available?
-Austin
It doesn't matter to me, but they're all shipping to one place. One per order or barrel? Just gotta decide if I order all my buds barrels at the same time or get them to order their own
I'll automatically add it for all CDG orders that come in from last night until the receiver print comes from ARC and I make an announcement that the pre-order is done.So do we add the break to the order or mention it in order notes or what?

Thanks!I've owned all three (Osprey, Rock Creek cut and button) along with Hawk Hill and Spencer from PVA. All of them have been great shooters with consistent chambers and headspace. No worries.
This^ !!!Or just machine a Xylo 2.0!

@bohem looking to order shortly, but need info on thisAny particular reason 300 Norma isn't available on that .30 cal drop down?
300NM is a very low running caliber and the reamer we have for it is setup for custom throating, so I don't offer it as a drop down selection because most folks want to shoot a specific bullet and it involves the custom throating. It's something that has a high tendency to become a boomerang when the order is placed online without a conversation.@bohem looking to order shortly, but need info on this
