I'm shooting TAC22 out of my 24" barrel. Getting hits to 204ydsSK Pistol Match 22lr in a 24" barrel has anyone used it and what kind of results did you have
I was shooting a ?6"? steel target at 204yds with that ammo on SundayJust got 6 bricks of Tac22 for the 20" LRP. For the price its great shooting @ 50 yards. hits 200 yard 18 inch steel fairly easily but haven't worked on getting a group that far out. Will be trying to locate some SK standard plus to try out on my new LRP. A friend measured case dimensions and the Tac22 was more consistent than some SK and lapua casings (using calipers). Will need to find out which ones though.

Very interested to see how the Bravo mod works out. I reached out to Manners to ask if they had any plans to make a LH 457 stock and they said no.I have a lefty varmint waiting for me at my local ffl. I had a lefty 452 that I souped up over time that I sold off when I did a rim x. I regret that to this day, really dumb move, that rifle was a hammer and what the hell was I thinking that I could get by with just 1 22lr rifle.
Had some correspondence with KRG and I think for now Im just gonna go ahead and mod a bravo. It's going to be a day and night field rifle so the ability to attach this and that and adjust accordingly makes the bravo chassis a favorable choice for me.
Always been a fan of cz rimfire rifles and really looking forward to this guy.
IDK specifically about that, but Anarchy Outdoors makes a couple and mebbe CZ USA has one on their siteDoes anyone make a magazine release extender for the American factory chassis?
Will do.. yes aftermarket left stuff is few and far at the moment but hopefully that will change some down the road. I'm just running with the factory bbl for now, looking to finally get out tomorrow and shoot it.Very interested to see how the Bravo mod works out. Are you going to thread the barrel of the Varmint? Or get a drop-in barrel?
The bolts are standard as well. The firing pin design is a compromise for the 22lr, 17HMR and 22 WMR, but the rest are the same. They are in stock at https://shop.cz-usa.com/5080057001.html.So today I was an idiot and dropped my 17HMR. The threaded part on the handle that the knob threads on sheared right off. Anyone know if bolts are interchangeable between actions? Doubt I'll need the 17 any time soon, but figured I've got a 457 in 22lr as well. I know the barrels are interchangeable but I can't seem to find anything with regards to the bolts themselves. I should add I don't have any headspace gauges for 22lr or 17hmr.
Anarchy outdoors just remade their larger release and are using aircraft grade aluminum instead of plastic. https://www.anarchyoutdoors.com/cz-rimfire-rifle-extended-magazine-release-gen-ii/ I just ordered one of their new ones and will report back later. It only specifies that it won't work with metal 5 round mags, but the 10/25 round mags are all polymer. The American - is a polymer stock, and all parts would fit the same if I'm not mistaken. CZ doesn't specify a different mag release for them.IDK specifically about that, but Anarchy Outdoors makes a couple and mebbe CZ USA has one on their site

This being said I have a friend who is making his own shims for the bolt to adjust headspace, and he noticed that the bolts measurements in earlier 457 Lux, and our MTR/LRP are slightly different, by a couple of thousandth of an inch. But the part you are referring to with the handle is the same.
Hope this helps.
I have that same release, early production run. It runs like a champ and is the only one I’d consider now for match use.Anarchy outdoors just remade their larger release and are using aircraft grade aluminum instead of plastic. https://www.anarchyoutdoors.com/cz-rimfire-rifle-extended-magazine-release-gen-ii/ I just ordered one of their new ones and will report back later. The Pro Varmint i have in 16.5 is really accurate I ordered a 24 MTR barrel for it to help get more consistent muzzle velocities other than that i am happy with the proIs the MTR the only model that comes with a match chamber? Does it affect accuracy that much? I'm thinking of picking up a Pro Varmint, does it have the potential to shoot well?
There are more now. The MTR was the first, then the LRP (Long Range Precision) and now the newer version of the precision trainer with the adjustable comb. Only the LRP has the fluted match barrel though, you can buy it from CZ as a barrel only. They list is as Long Range MTR https://shop.cz-usa.com/cz-457-long-range-mtr-sr-barrel-set-22lr-20in-nitride.htmlIs the MTR the only model that comes with a match chamber? I'm very happy with the Rigid Chassis. Love how they did the magazine release. It's integrated into the Trigger Guard (push to release).I miss my rigid chassis (was on my 455) need one for the 457.
Would like a carbon fiber handguard as well for heat/cold control when hunting
How does the 419 Lilja barrel shoot? Its not shim adjustable right? debating on getting fixed headspace or the shimmable version if I can find any in stockCZ457 18.5” Lilja 22LR ELITE Barrel in a Rigid Alloy PRF Chassis, XLR butt stock and Timney Trigger.

I have two Lilja barrels. The first one I got was from Lilja which I ordered and came with the Shim Kit. I presently use it in my PDC Chassis. The way i shimmed it will shot both Eley and SK ammo. However, it really likes the Eley out of it. The latest one i got was 419 and it is does not need the shim kit. I tried shooting Eley ammo out of it. Damn, that crushes my soul. I was just making plans for a 457 build and haven’t found any chassis to my liking so I thought Manners would be The Way.I reached out to Manners to ask if they had any plans to make a LH 457 stock and they said no.
I launched the extractor spring on one of my 22 cal CZ 457's a while back and ended up swapping in a bolt from another 457 that I owned. All I can say is that it worked. I really wasn't testing accuracy as it was a new to me gun anyway. Thanks for the reply, and glad to hear they're interchangeable! Unfortunately I'm up in Canada so I've got to source the part through the main distributor here. I'll just have to swap bolts with my 22 if I end up needing the 17 before I can get a replacement part.
I thought most of the headspace adjustments could be done on the barrel side, a la Lilja style?
It looks like a really great chassis for an incredible price, what length is the handguard on yours? It seems like your 18.5" barrel barely clears it, I'm wondering if the 16.5" barrel on my pro varmint will.I'm very happy with the Rigid Chassis. Love how they did the magazine release. When i ordered the chassis, i had a choice on the length of the hand guard. I went with the longest (13.6") one. My barrel is 18.5 inches, and yes the barrel stick out enough where i can attach my suppressor (barely). BTW the suppressor is a 9mm Rugged 9. Waiting on my KGM RF22 to get out of jail. Looks great! Really looking forward to them getting back in stock, think I'll go with the shorter hand guard on mine, doesn't look like the 16.5" will clear that one. Shot 150 rds of Eley Force out to 300 yds all were in the 1.5 - 2.5 MOA group. CZ 457 manner with a 21" match barrle. It was easy and alot of fun! Had 46.0 MOA on the dial.I'm shooting TAC22 out of my 24" barrel. Getting hits to 204yds

Last time I tried that distance-ish, it was the last stage of a MARS match. We were shooting off a beanbag chair like thing and I missed. These can be modified in many ways.....congrats on the CZ.Joined recently after purchasing a CZ 457 Youth model from Sportsmans Warehouse. Did my first NRL22 match and it was such a good time. Definitely was getting laughed at for how small the rifle was but I have a KRG Bravo on the way! Just wanted to share.
Thanks. I have KRG Bravo on order. These can be modified in many ways.....congrats on the CZ.
Nice looking rifle.Still needs some add ons installed and some minor fitting for the bolt relief but the backbone is cleared. Like to fill in the original cutout some and keep that pin for the bolt release from slipping out..but good with the way its turning out giving me the same ergonomics and feel of my other rifles which are all built off the MCS t4a.

Yeah looking for the 24" mtr in 22lrThey are currently in stock in a few places. Use your Google fu.
ETA: I suppose it depends a bit on which model you are looking for, but still a few options.
You’ll have much better luck in finding the 20.5” MTR. Trust me that is totally worth it. They have it dialed in.Yeah looking for the 24" mtr in 22lr
