And now this. This people are completely nuts. Or, they are actually all working for china and russia who'd like nothing more for our military to go to shambles.

Soon after the acceptance of the Constitution the legislative branch proposed limiting the size of the US military to 5000 members total.

Geo Washington said that was fine as long as any invading force was limited to 3000.

The proposal went no where.

Lets hope Washington logic prevails.

"IT" wants to spend the money on more social programs. I say:

They will probably also learn a deep disgust for incompetence as well.

In my government office we had 5 former military members including myself and with in a couple of years 3 of them quit saying they just couldn't deal with the incompetence and bs. The one guy was a E-7 Army medic and wasn't allowed to respond to emails before a more senior person reviewed them.

We would sit through our management complaining that veterans preference didn't let them hire the people they wanted and would discuss ways to get around it in front of us. They all make six figures and have pensions and will never be fired.

My last job with a defense contractor was like that.

While people learned real skills, some in combat the little weasels that defaulted on thier student loans undeserving got jobs and ended up managing without any skills or experience.

I had a boss that didn't know how a hand file worked and was in charge of a manufacturing area.

Seriously, how does one not know how a hand file works? Are you talking the use of a file or how it actually works and the difference in "cutting power."

Actually too stupid to assemble and use a flat bastard.

Like some liberals here on a site they don't belong on.
LOL. I don't disbelieve you. I've seen stuff in my industry that I was like...really, you have a degree in mechanical engineering and you don't know that something like brake pad materials makes a significant difference in stopping power?
