Suppose that when you go hunting that you would have a 80% chance of getting shot; would you go hunting?

Suppose that when you left the driveway in your car that you had an 80% chance of getting in an accident, would you go driving?

Suppose that when you ate at a certain restaurant that you had an 80% chance of contracting a deadly virus, would you eat at that restaurant?

Suppose that when you get married, there was an 80% chance that your lovely bride would divorce you, take the wealth that you built, along with the house and kids then enslave you for dozens of years with alimony and child support, would you get married?

Even if the likelihood of the aforementioned outcomes was reduced to 50%, would you still do it?

I'm an old big pig. The lever that I push dispenses money for me and only me. I don't have to give to anyone else anymore.

To the younger big pigs I say keep pushing the lever that dispenses money. Except, don't put yourself into a situation where you have to give that money to someone else.
