Just read that a civilian drone and "Super Scooper Quebec 1" collided and now the plane will be out of commission until Monday whilst the leading edge of the wing is repaired. Stupid, stupid, stupid people out there.

Saw a pic of damage to leading edge........expanding foam in hole......let cure......trim to leading edge......gorilla tape....and get back in the air.

I'm not a cert. airplane tech / mech..and know "my fix" would be a "no no", but sometimes " rules" ..............well,are just "rules".
If I had the ability to fly one of those, I'd get my ass up in there and get back to work.

Having said all the above, there could be other air frame structure problems that isn't visible in pic that I saw,and the above comments dont/ can't apply.

Opinions from an Ultralight pilot, ( Weedhopper) ,probably are not to be followed

When it comes to fighting fires , particulary in coastal areas , nothing comes close to AirTractor Fireboss. These supper scopers are costly as fuck and courrently out of production but typicaly AT802 could carry half the payload but you could buy 6 for price of one Canadier 415

From the little news reporting I have read on all this fire stuff other than what's posted here, I've come to the following conclusions:

1) North Carolina got screwed royally. I hope those folks in NC wake the heck up and stop voting for team commie.

2) California is a lost cause. The blame is seriously going to Trump by some people, press defending pretty-boy with good hair, and the DEI crowd.

One would think by this point, the populous would be getting some tar and feathers or building gallows.

But, because they still, despite losing everything (rich or poor) in some cases, cannot for the life of them see that its NOT FREAKING CLIMATE CHANGE they'll continue to support these Marxists. However, when it's somebody else's fault...not their failed belief system and policies that come from that belief system they can continue to live in ignorance. They don't have to suffer single digit temps in rain, snow and sleet in a tent or shelter while PedoPotus Joe-the-Hair-Sniffer is pledging BILLIONS to CA. Despite much of the destruction is due to 100000000000% incompetence they get all this money. Unlike NC, TN, GA, SC and FL which had pretty much nothing to do with incompetence and was for the most part a natural process of nature as I see it - but they get all of $700.
