A season for fishing and boating?
I get to brag that it's an all year thing here.
However, when people have lots of land to shoot on, that's where I get jealous.

That’s steelhead fishing in the fall. Kids don’t have fun doing that though.

Say anything you want about green sunfish, but they sure believe in themselves and try hard.
Yeah. That one tried to eat a mouse fly. A carp tried to eat that fly too, craziest shit I’ve ever seen. I didn’t believe it until the two friends I was fishing with both exclaimed “that was a fuckin carp!” Never felt so bummed about missing a fish.
This one didn’t even hit anything big. But he bent that 3 weight fiberglass fly rod halfway down into the cork and had me on the reel, taking drag. About the most fun I’ve had fishing for anything.
But don’t think I’m one of those folk that don’t use gear. I like a spinnerbait too.
Apparently green sunfish don’t care what size it is.
Enough sunfish, here’s some bass:
Bass like mice quite a lot it seems.
But also small stuff.

IMHO the best fishing in the Southeastern US can be found in the FL Keys...
Did a youth striper fish today, kids had a blast!!
Bass have been hammering frogs, crappie chomped down on a fake minnow just about every cast.
Last bass was my PB for central texas.
Hoping to get some kayak stripers next weekend.
