The main reason I chose to settle in Washington (PNW) was a fishing trip on the Puyallup river in 87.. a 17.5# hatchery steelhead sealed the deal!!!
Sadly the puyallup steelhead run is quite depressing now.
Even The cowlitz runs are a lot less than it used to be.
OP is guide central now and there’s little secret water there anymore.
Some of the Columbia tributaries and the Oregon coast are still pretty awesome.

I can’t fish off the bank like I used to due to a back injury so I became a boat owner and fish the Chehalis for Coho only and it just keeps getting worse each year...

Went fishing for the first time...more fun than I thought.
My biggest from a week ago. Also my biggest largemouth ever. 13lbs 8oz.
We caught quite a few over 10lbs.

Sitka Alaska. Small but tasty halibut! Limited on Silvers, halibut and rock fish for 4 days with the guide service we have used for over a decade. We also fish steelhead in Hell’s Canyon and springers on the Columbia with him annually. Love the PNW!
