Suppressors Form 4 wait time

I called about mine yesterday (july2018), they said it was still pending and they said the wait times are getting longer. The last time I called they said “around” 9 months. Apparently it’s more now.

Hard to believe they upped the size of the office and the wait times continue to increase. I submitted my most recent form 4 as an individual as this is my first post 41p purchase. We will see if this helps make it go faster (doubt it) or not as all other form 1 and 4s were on the trust with my wife and I.

Are suppressors worth what we put into them as well as the wait?

I would answer that with a qualified yes. I don’t like paying the extra $200 and having to wait.

But once I got it, I’m glad I bought it.

Hunting with suppressor be like ____________ (fill in the blank).

Got my stamps back this morning. 18 days total. Time to go build a couple suppressors. Yall have fun waiting :poop:

What fingerprint cards did you send in? Ones from your local sheriff? Or did you order cards from the ATF? I just efile Form 1 yesterday and mailed cards from my local sheriff in today. Hoping there isnt an issue. First time I had to mail cards, before 4473 efile form 1 didnt require fingerprints.

Cards from the sheriff. I Efiled 2 form 1 on the same day, and sent both cover letters in the same envelope with only one set of fingerprints.

Perfect. That's exactly what I did. Sheriff was giving me crap I had to use ATF cards which I told him no I did not. Glad to hear you did the same without issue

What did you write in the ORI field??

Not sure, I have an extra set at the house. I'll look when I get back in a little bit. I've heard that some people have rolled their own finger prints and sent them in and it went through. Tempted to try it.

I just ordered 10 cards from the ATF for free, a Sirchie Fingerprint Ink Pad and card holder to do exactly that. Will be doing another efile form 1 this way in 2 weeks once back from KY. We will see but Ive heard the same thing.

Looks like the Sheriff put some kind of identifying numbers on there. Let me know if the self rolled fingerprints go through amd I'll do that next time.

Got a picture? What box did they put numbers in? Sheriff didnt put any numbers on mine....deputy just signed and dated mine, stamped it with their office stamp, had me fill out all the required info and did my prints...I filled in the orig box based off directions from ATF website regarding NFA fingerprint submissions...

ATF processed my credit card 7/30/18, approved 6/16/19. But now I have to file a 5320.20 because I moved after filing the form 4—even though notification isn’t required for either intrastate moves or suppressors according to what I’ve read.

Awesome news! Are you leaving the "Official taking fingerprints" box empty or signing it yourself? What are you writing in the ORI field? Same as I posted above?

ORI - if you got your cards from ATF, is all ready stamped w/ their information
As for the rest of the card, I just filled out
-Name
-the remaining left side of the card and nothing else
-Signed as the person being printed & taking prints

They seem closer to 11 months right now. At the beginning of April they were starting July. Two months later and they still aren’t done July. The NFA tracker site didn’t have anything new popping up till last week. Sure looks like something stalled in May.

If you look at NFA Tracker you can see the average time was 280 days for checks cashed in early July and jumped to 320 days for checks cases in late July. I had my early July suppressor in had before May. Still waiting on my late July suppressor.

Free fingerprint cards from the ATF showed up in less than a week from ordering on their website... Just an fyi since some said they take a while to get.

My Sirchie ink pad and card holder arrived as well. Going to efile another Form 1 SBR and send off my own prints this time and see what happens.

Individual Form 4
Cashed July 25th 2018
Approved June 15th 2019
Stamp Received June 26th 2019

Will pick up my Sandman Ti Friday.
Also snail mailed finger prints and cover letter for E-File Form 1 on a SBR. They should have that Friday. See how long that takes.
