Suppressors Form 4 wait time

I'm currently waiting for my first NFA item, and I've lurked on this thread since I submitted. Since then, I feel the pace has picked up. The way things were going I was targeting mid Feb for approval on my May 10 EFORM submission. Now I feel like end of January may be realistic. It's the first time I've shortened my expected wait time in this process.

At this rate it’s certainly possible, but don’t break out the champagne until you get the email!

What ever happened to the Hearing Protection Act legislation momentum .....a few years now.
They never wanted to pass it.

Anything the base wants that is "controversial" (which means anything the base wants that the media will paint in a bad light) will only be passed in the first 6 months of a 2 year congressional term.

I knew we weren't getting the HPA because it hadn't passed by July. The October shooting was just the excuse.

In 2016 I was promised national reciprocity and the hearing protection act. I got a bumpstock ban instead.

As a transfer agent, the best advice I can give about getting your submission back in a timely manner is to stay engaged once you enter the process. Dragging of feet to get the ATFEforms registration done costs my customers precious days and sometimes weeks! I want your suppressor off my books almost as badly as you do. LOL

Is the "submitted date" supposed to be blank?
I have an email from the ATF dated May 10th that said my paperwork had been accepted, and is in process, yet I don't see a date here. Is this normal? (first NFA item, sorry)

Any recommendations for staying “engaged”? Phone calls? Emails? I guess I don’t know what you mean. —-thanks

Submitted and accepted on 4/22/22, eForm 4 Trust. Still waiting......
Call the ATF.

I submitted the same day as you and called today. I was approved on Jan 16. Apparently their email system was down and not sending out approval notifications. The nice lady on the phone told me to check with my transferring dealer first, to see if my approved Form 4 was in there Eforms que. If it wasn’t, I was advised to use the “Ask the Expert” tab on Eforms And they would resend it.

Call 304 616-4500
Have your control number (or serial number), FFLs name, and Trust name (if applicable) ready. Took 25 minutes for the call.

Nice ! I got the same in sr but my cert was 8-22
Cool, I got mine in hub. I wasn’t expecting the approval for at least another month since it seems they’re still working on mid to late April. I had 3 from early March get approved a few months ago so maybe those approvals had something to do with this one being on the early side.

Should I see anything in terms of a status if I login to https://eforms.atf.gov/home?

All I see under MyForms is a bunch of collapsed categories from Abandoned -> Withdrawn. I don't see anything in any of them when I expand the categories.

I haven't seen any emails from them (and just checked in spam) aside from maintenance stuff.

I did go back to SilencerShop and see it with a submitted status.

Not sure if you are in the same situation but I didn’t see anything when I logged into my account because the FFL filed the paperwork on their account. All I got was an email confirming submission and one when it came through.

273 days.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Still have one in jail, 129 days and counting....
Yea it’s bullshit. I guess the plan is working because it sure as shit makes me not want to buy anymore.
I’ve got a nomad 30 that I certified 7/25/22, and a mask I certified in December of 22… once I get them, I’m throwing in an order for another 22 and 1 more 30, and I’m done

Might as well get them going now... Remember, the longer you wait, the longer before you get it back.

I've got 3 in the hopper right now. My Otter Creek Labs Hydro-S is at 252, and should be approved any time now. My Hydro-L is at 158 days, and my new Polonium 5.56 can is at a whopping 7 days. 😂

I always try to keep at least 1 certified and caught up in the machine at all times...

And yes, it's bullshit... We shouldn't even have to register non-firing chunks of metal, at all...But our ancestors allowed our rights to be pissed away, so now we're still dealing with it. 😡
