Well we can do things like contact our Congress people, like some have. We don’t have to burn down cities but we can start letting Trump and the Republicans know our expectations and how this will effect our willingness to vote in 2020.
NFA is a prime example of what happens when the is no time-limit for processing application, asis the case in many shall issue states for CCW. This should have been dealt with long ago.
I agree with you 100%. I wasn't advocating for any juvenile snowflake actions but was making a statement to show how civil 99.99% of us are.
Even with the increase in the number of people purchasing class III devices, we are still a minority when it comes to dealing with the government. With that said, we probably won't get anywhere with our congressmen.
What I just said sounds counter-intuitive to what I've written in the past about contacting our elected representatives. Nevertheless, I still promote the idea of contacting a representative about the infringement of our rights.
If my wait goes several months longer, I will be contacting my congress critter and senatorial swamp dwellers.
One thing that I will be pointing out to them is that we have the NICS background checks already in place for firearms purchases. It would be a simple matter to add those class III devices to the same NICS checks as envisioned in the HPA.
If they want my $200 they can have it, just give me my tax stamp in an expeditious manner.
That is one point that I think HPA proponents have failed to emphasize; if the the NICS check is so darn good, then it should be applied to the Class III devices and the government can still get our $200.
Tax stamps are also arcane. The ATF can produce a digitally secure PDF document with digital signature showing that the tax has been paid. A digital PDF tax certificate would also save them a lot of money compared to printing and mailing stamps.
