Suppressors Form 4 wait time

So for the guy who said trust but verify... YOU CAN'T CURRENTLY VERIFY. Just called the ATF, call center is NOT OPERATIONAL it says it on their message. Theoretically I was at the top of the stack before x-mas/shutdown... I honestly expected to hear between thanksgiving and xmas... I have a fucking feeling that there is going to be a metric SHIT TON of "Lost" paperwork

FYI my wife works for a congressman and has sent 2 inquires and has yet to hear a damn thing back... so that tells you what that gets you so far

I got ahold of my Senator about a month and a half ago. The Senators office just called me back today and forwarded the email to me that the ATF sent to the Senators office, Enjoy:) %*#>€£^%~

My Form 4 Individual check for a suppressor was cashed 01-11-2018. Starting 6 months ago I would call biweekly and it was always the same old "Pending background check". I even tested the ATF agent on the other line and gave them a wrong serial number and they could not locate the item.

If it was a bunch of snow flakes destroying businesses and burning cars to demand food-stamps, the government would call it a humanitarian crisis and demand that the welfare agencies get on the ball and keep those folks from starving.

If we were to do the same thing cause we didn't get our tax stamps, they would call out the National Guard and ordered us shot on sight.

Well we can do things like contact our Congress people, like some have. We don’t have to burn down cities but we can start letting Trump and the Republicans know our expectations and how this will effect our willingness to vote in 2020.

NFA is a prime example of what happens when the is no time-limit for processing application, asis the case in many shall issue states for CCW. This should have been dealt with long ago.

What about the fact that many like myself have 6 suppressors waiting and a Form 1 for SBR. And that they do not process them together. They do it individually. Wasting who knows how much time between them and the FBI re running everything.

Every time they receive an item it should be cross checked by Trust/SSN for existing checks in progress. If I sent one in tomorrow and the background check came back next week they should release every F’ing one of them to me at the same time.

Yup we have three waiting on the same trust. April, June, September are the months the checks were cashed in. Going to be a long wait on all three I guess.

I agree with you 100%. I wasn't advocating for any juvenile snowflake actions but was making a statement to show how civil 99.99% of us are.

Even with the increase in the number of people purchasing class III devices, we are still a minority when it comes to dealing with the government. With that said, we probably won't get anywhere with our congressmen.

What I just said sounds counter-intuitive to what I've written in the past about contacting our elected representatives. Nevertheless, I still promote the idea of contacting a representative about the infringement of our rights.

If my wait goes several months longer, I will be contacting my congress critter and senatorial swamp dwellers.

One thing that I will be pointing out to them is that we have the NICS background checks already in place for firearms purchases. It would be a simple matter to add those class III devices to the same NICS checks as envisioned in the HPA.

If they want my $200 they can have it, just give me my tax stamp in an expeditious manner.

That is one point that I think HPA proponents have failed to emphasize; if the the NICS check is so darn good, then it should be applied to the Class III devices and the government can still get our $200.

Tax stamps are also arcane. The ATF can produce a digitally secure PDF document with digital signature showing that the tax has been paid. A digital PDF tax certificate would also save them a lot of money compared to printing and mailing stamps.

You need to get ahold of your states Senator or Congressman to get the paperwork started. I've filled out three different forms at different times just to get to the place I'm at now which is to say no where closer to getting a suppressor than I was before obviously

I gotcha. I was thinking it might be quicker there since they are already in the loop about the issue. Ill see what’s up locally.

Yes NFA is a minority but people this is a 2A issue. Trump ran on 2a and the big untold story, in my opinion, is that is in fact how he won. The bump-stock issue has already tweaked a lot of 2Aers . I, like many others, never owned one but it is still a 2A issue. We are a group. And as a group we need to take a page from the gay movement (The Spartans of political/ cultural warfare.)

Trump will need every freakin one of those votes to get reelected. Do not underestimate the voice we have BEFORE 2020.

I have been at the state government and seen first hand the proverbial sausage being made. I listened to the very first conversations about the recalls that took out 3 legislators, one of which was the Senate President. This fallacy that we are powerless is self destructive and (sorry folks) childish. The Dems are exploiting every single gap in our armor..... because we allow gap in our armor.

The acceptance by gun owners that our 2A rights are “nonessential“ bothers me more than anything else the Marxists are doing right now.

The thing that pisses me off is that the HPA was actually coming up for a vote and right before is when the Las Vegas massacre happens so they yanked it and it never made its way back. That was our biggest chance while republicans had all 3 branches.

I agree that we should all be given some kind of pin/number once they’ve done a bagroind check that could streamline any additional stamps we send in. They could simply look at the form and run the pin/number and see that we’ve passed the background and have been approved for other NFA items and issue a stamp. Could even have it so we have to resubmit every 5 years or so like you do when you have a CCW. I think that would make this a whole lot easier.

I’m okay with them checking everything again for another suppressor if you don’t have any pending. (I like your other options even better). Lots can happen in that time. But for them to not approve the six they have sitting there at the same time is ridiculous.

Not exactly true. It's back right now.

It might have had a better chance while we still had the house, but since it doesn't require any appropriations it might not be as big a stretch as you might think, and since it's being put up as a health issue it just might make it.
For now, I'll remain skeptical...but hopeful.

Is it just me or was it kinda hot when she said PEW PEW
Yes, I was rather enamored with her "pewing." On the other hand, nobody is as alluring as KJW when she "pews."

I would link the video so it starts at the very end when she "pews," but that takes away from the entire experience. When you watch it, keep the reason you are watching it in mind.

That is to listen to her "pew pew" at the end. Dana is a close 2nd to KJW.

And now to keep this thread from drifting, I'll stay on the subject of the wait times.

I got ten tax stamps that I'm waiting on. So when I get them, do you think that more women like Dana and KJW would be interested in me?

After all, it's a heck of a lot better than getting a sports car. So it will be worth the wait; won't it?

They'll know you're into commitment which turns some women on I guess.
I'm not getting the suppressors on a trust. So no matter how much they ask me, I can't put them on a trust so they can use them.

It's a package deal, I go with the suppressors.

I have this fantasy of being on an island in the South Pacific, resting in a hammock while KJW feeds me sundry items of tropical delicacies. I have a suppressed .22 pistol and shoot coconuts out of the trees all day long.

When she's not cooling me with her fan, she's loading my magazines and kissing me every time I drop a coconut.

She let's her soft brown hair brush against me as she presses her cheek to mine. Then she whispers in my ear that she's never been with a man who shoots as good as me.

There's nothing wrong with that fantasy; is there?

Admit it, there are some of you out there that are going to ask your SWMBOs to make the "pew pew" sound.

I think you've got it a little bit backwards. I'd be in the hammock resting and reloading magazines while she'd be the one out there shooting the coconuts. It'd save us a lot of ammo if she was the one getting it. Then I'd whisper into her ear that she'd never be with a man better at loading magazines for her. That's how she knows I'm a keeper and not selfish like some people *cough @Longshot231 *cough :D

I will not be introducing you to her.
