Headed to SA 2013 for 1st safari. Wanna take my wildcat 300WM/7mm for plains game. Rifle is a BDL that started out as a 7RM and had it rechambered to 300WM/7mm. 7mm Rem Mag is what is stamped on the factory bbl. Of course, all the ammo is 300Win Mag head stamp.
As I understand it, the bbl. caliber and the ammo headstamp MUST match up to get a SAP permit to bring it into J-berg. And they do check it, I'm told.
Anybody have any knowledge on this? Have an email into the PH but he's in the bush. Got a few months (May), but if I'm gonna have to get a new stick, time is short.
