i know this has probably been discussed before numerous times and i didnt search it because i just want to know a simple question. what is the differences between a ffp vs a sfp? seeing how the front focal planes are way more pricey. please explain the main differences sorry for the non experienced question. thanks

Re: front focal plane versus second focal plane??

FFP the reticle grow in relation to the target this way you can rang or do holdover shot at any power. The drawbacks to an FFP scope are there are more parts that can go wrong, some FFP scope reticles at full max power are to thick for precision shots, and at low power they are too thin for fast target acquisition.

SFP reticle scopes grow in relation to the shooter. The befit is scope maker can make thinner lines and they tend to be able to take more abuse because they have fewer parts.

Hope this helps.

Not a simple answer....

Take the time to search....

Take the time to learn....

Take the time to get behind them....

You have to know yourself and determine how you will be using it.

Also how big of a pocketbook you have, that might make it really simple....

Chiller,

I think the "How bigs your pocket book" should have been first.
