Thats Robert D. Raeford, one of the cat of the Fox FM channel here in Charlotte. Robert is probably 80 or so by now and I actually heard that skit live when he first read it. I had to pull over so I could wipe the laugh tears from my eyes and get back to driving safely. Hilarious...even hearing it again, years later.

I was sitting around drinking a few beers with some buddys when one of the guys told a similar story. This was about 15 years ago I would guess and nearly everybody that was there was pretty astonished that someone would use a gerbil in this fashion. Upon completion of the story the most surly and gruff of the group piped in with one of the most hilarious and classic lines ever "a real man would use a woodchuck".

one of my cousins is a SF fireman- Gerbils are just the "tip" of sicko iceberg.. oh and NEVER buy a round for a group of fireman..
