"Gold Inlaying" in engraving on a RAR

One thing I did try on this RAR is something that I wanted to try for a while: Gold (paint) inlaying. I took a tooth brush with acetone to remove any oils and blotted with a paper towel. I took a can of gold exterior spray paint, sprayed a little in the can’s cap, then applied to the engraving – just enough to fill the engraving. After a few minutes, I lightly dampened a paper towel with acetone and wiped off the top, leaving the gold untouched in the engraving.


It came out better than I thought it would:

Nice, just an FYI Bonanza makes a fill kit in gold and silver to do the same thing...might make things easier next time.
