GOT IT! GAP10 Pics MORE ADDED 5/29

Re: GOT IT! GAP10 Pics Range report sorta!

Looks really good, feels time to get an AR10...

But you could have chosed a straight mount instead of the cantilever on that gun.
SP4002 or SP4602 would have been same height and tilt as the one you have ut without cantilever.
Could be good to know if you ever are going to order more mounts for AR10 and 15, then it can be a good idea to move this over to anohter gun and put on a straigt mount on this one.

Shot mine suppressed today, awful day for it though, winds were gusting to 30MPH averaged 19 to 24MPH in the prone, so it was a fight to keep things on target, I have some images to post because I think the video is shit with the sound of the wind, it was just crazy with nothing to block it.

Re: GOT IT! GAP10 Pics

Don't feel bad, I left with no cards for my camera, got 1 exit away from the range when i realized it, so I had to drive 25 minutes to a Best Buy to get one. Then when I arrived the wind was whipping. Weather Underground says gusts to 35MPH, I measured gusts to 30MPH in the prone.

It was flawless with the can, and without, I did have better accuracy without and I tried a variety of ammo, although my groups were pretty bad, still here are some images.

Admittedly cherry picked best group, it was with the SW 175gr Palma Small Primers, 5 shots...

Here is a complete look, using 155gr ammo with the suppressor. Honestly the wind was pretty bad to try and shoot groups. It was blowing me more than the rounds I think but still I would say over .25 probably blowing the impacts easily 3/8s. I was actually aiming at 3 o Clock the wind did the rest.

It definitely shot better without the suppressor for whatever reason and did equally well with 155gr stuff and 175gr, I think the Cor Bon was pretty good too, which was a bit of a slower lot than the SW. I found it averaged well.

Function was flawless with all the ammo. In the end I gave up after only an hour or so because I was fighting my gear on the ground with everything blowing, I actually had a steel plate on my TAB mat, and I had to bag every corner.

Lowlight, any guesses on why it shot better without the suppressor? I realize one day of shooting in bad wind may not indicate the rifles real performance with the suppressor. I am new to precision shooting and have been debating the GAP or a standard POF. I have a 30p-1 waiting for a rifle Mike at Underground Skunkworks is building and would like to get a semi as well.

It seems everything I read about running a suppressor on a semi is that it favors a piston setup. Like I said I am new to this and would like to make an informed decision before I make a purchase.

Re: GOT IT! GAP10 Pics

I had a little blowback, not every shot but a few times.

JSF, you can't categorize it as a blanket statement. Could have been a whole host of things, including me. I run suppressors on other GAP 10 type rifles, I just paid a bit more attention this time. But like you said, one bad day doesn't make it a statistic.
