Got my new rifle back from the smith

I wanted a simple rifle that i could shoot on the weekend prone with no recoil just for recreation and fun.
20 Vartarg
CZ527 action with a pac-nor barrel 1 in 12 twist, rifle will spend 99% of its time at 100 yards punching holes in paper so I am putting a fixed Bushnell 10X scope on it.
Since my really bad car accident multiple sugeries and degenerative joint disease taking turns kicking me in the balls I need something I can shoot a while without being in pain for a week after.

That’s a good looking rig. I know what you mean about hurting for days after a good day of shooting. There’s times I leave 3 tracks behind me when walking to the truck. Both feet and my aching ass dragging behind me.

20 vartarg? I got a lot to learn, is that the round you are shooting?

Yep its a 221 fireball necked down to .204 cal
If you want to do it quick and dirty just run 221 fireball brass through 20vartarg sizing die and turn the neck.
I turn the neck twice once as 221 fireball and 2nd time as 20vartarg since lapua brass is chunky.

20 Vartarg runs perfect in AA2200 powder which flows/meters like water so i just set my mechanical powder dispenser and fill up up lighting fast and really good weights.

My goodness I had no idea they were that sensitive to wind. I’m gonna start accusing my shooting buddy of farting next time I miss or pull a round. Lmmfao
