howa 1100 rimfire rumours?

OP, care to post photos you’ve seen? Haven’t heard a thing anywhere but here, and don’t find anything mentioning a model number or anything else using Google...except this post.

I hope Howa isn’t using influencers...if the past year has taught any lessons here, it’s that this forum won’t tolerate fake accounts hyping up new products. ?

Are you talking about something like this?

hi mate

chill baby its a legit question.

Why doesn’t any make a factory 16.25” threaded barrel for the 22lr other than 10/22’s?

why are all the new guns 18-18.5” barrels?
Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t all the powder get burnt up before 16”?
My Cz 457 Varmint Pro has a 16.5" threaded barrel.

It's not listed on the OSA wholesale portal currently, not that I can find. Unsure where they are getting pricing. Please also note that cleavers get crazy discounts for Howa from OSA.

Once they become available, I'm sure I'll get one to mess with and see what needs fixing (trigger, rail, etc..).

ta Nik.
im keen to see if theyre worth a try.

I spoke to the OSA (Aus distrib) yesterday. Not a huge amount of info, but we are getting them. We are gonna have one to play with too.

Not listed on the portal, it's a "phone it in" only deal.

I just called sales at Legacy Sports, Howa's US importer, asking about when the M1100's would start shipping, he replied they should be in the hands of distributors and retailers this coming week. Any FFL with a storefront can order them today. I tried to get an idea of what retailers would be getting a large shipment and he would not tell me.

I will have my wallet out when I see one on the shelf, not much money to gamble on decent accuracy.

On that same site, they also list a black one that has a bit more info on the Description. The biggest surprise to me is that it mentions the barrel is an HK Polygonal barrel profile. I understand that Polygonal barrels are a bad match for non-copper coated lead bullets. like say a 22LR. I wonder what the effects of lead fouling will be on that barrel. Of course, I saw that AFTER I ordered mine so we will just have to see what happens. I would welcome thoughts from people on the Polygonal barrel though.....

I drunk the kool aid, my Howa should be here in all of its green glory tomorrow. I won't be able to test it for a couple of weeks, surgery on the knee Thursday.
I ordered a banjo, so I will be tuning it before the Howa......LOL ! I am really out classed on this forum......I haven't been here much except to lurk and read.

The old Glock myth just won't die

I shot shitloads of lead bullets through a Glock 17 with no unusual leading compared to that on conventionally rifled pistols. That Glock actually stayed cleaner with no leading at all for 3/4 of the length of the bore from the throat.

As long as the bullet is the appropriate hardness for the pressure behind it to obturate it, leading will be minimal to none in a barrel that isn't rough as a cob inside.
