If we can’t criticize them for enforcing unconstitutional laws we sure can’t praise them for not enforcing unconstitutional laws.

Very few policemen will quit their jobs. It is important to remember, Hitler didn't fire the policemen......................he simply changed the laws and 99% of them simply enforced the new laws. It worked fine for Stalin, Clinton, Mao, Biden and other evil people, they simply change the law.
What you see is a gradual change in policing. They are moving cops away from stopping crimes of violence, theft, drugs, abuse and larceny towards enforcing edicts from power crazed socialists. And for the most part policemen and women are gladly following their master's orders. They need jobs, medical insurance and homes just like everyone else.
In Portland on August 29th 2020 a Patriot Prayer member was executed on a city street in the presence of at least six Portland PD officers and a news crew. They watched the murder and allowed the Antifa communists to leave the scene, offered little or no help to the victim, did not investigation and filed no charges. The US Marshals Service went after the murderer because he was a wanted felon from Washington state.
Two days ago in Portland, their cops stood down while Antifa communists attacked counter protestors, before that cops allowed Antifa communists to attack a multi racial crowd in a city park holding a prayer vigil. Communists attacked screaming, "hail Satan" and shooting fireworks at children. cops sided with communists and did nothing.
Kenosha Wisconsin, a young man armed with a rifle defended himself against a violent attack by Antifa felons, a armed pedophile and an armed druggie and a felon who literally pretended to be a medic and ran up to him brandishing a pistol fully intending to execute the young man. That kid is charged with multiple murders for legally defending himself. Cops did the investigation and will aid in the prosecution, thus defending communism.

I’m in law enforcement. I believe in the constitution and defend it every day. I work with local, state, and federal LE. They do too. Im not walking away from my job because I believe in it. Good luck with a hypothetical society without law enforcement. LEO’s are people just like anywhere else. You can spin things how you want, but a VAST majority of these guys are just trying to do what’s right. Many of the examples that are brought up has more to do with politicians or the court systems.
Not that you’re responsive for the way that I feel but there are a lot of LEO’s on this site and it is incredibly offensive to put us down. We are all professionals here.

Imagine being a deputy or police in California, and arresting a dude and charging him for possession of a 15rd glock magazine. The end. That’s the sole charge.
What they mean by believing in constitution is..would you walk away from your job if you were put in a position that the state made you enforce a unconstitutional law?
These are legit questions. Don’t get butt hurt that people are having the hard talk. You should be talking about this with people you work with.
I have multiple deployments in Afghanistan. Given the current news, I still will say what I said then…we should have never attempted to win hearts and minds there. Even as government tools, we especially can recognize the stupidity of our employers.

I can’t imagine charging someone as listed in your example, nor have I. The problem is blanket statements much like what happens to all of us shooters. If these statements were coming the extreme left of something of that nature I wouldn’t waste my breath. But when it’s coming from our own kind it bothers me.
Of course we talk about things like this. Have I met cops as listed in examples of other posts? Sure have and they normally do not last very long. As for me and every work associate of mine, we love this country and stand for it. We just don’t appreciate being grouped into a criminal group. We are all citizens first.

Add in defund the police, record retirement of the older force, and refunding the police to hire new people educated under today’s current indoctrination system, and you can see how the whole demographic can change in an organization in a matter of years.

I respect law enforcement. I despise those corrupt and abusive of their powers, as I believe they are a minority. One of my best friends is a retired statey. I have but one question.
Will you arrest someone who refuses to take a "vaccine" when push comes to shove?
We have talked about this one too. I haven’t found anybody who would be willing to do this but I’m sure there’s some out there. One of the local municipal chiefs released an order that if anyone made such arrest due to an ordinance such as that they’d be fired no questions asked.
I’m sure they will arrest people at restaurants , employment , etc that didn’t get the bs not a vaccine

But in general they are not doing themselves any favors with the way they interact with people. As a ER doc, I've worked/interacted with LE quite a bit in the last 20 years. I doubt a shift goes by where I don't have at least one interaction with LE. The vast majority of LE I have been around have been completely professional in the face of an increasingly tough job. A very small percentage were not good cops, acted cocky, they tended to go away over time. A few cops are in my mountain bike group, cool dudes, no different than the rest of us.

I’ve got 16 in and never enforced something unconstitutional and will refuse to. They are pushing the vaccine hard right not but I’m not gonna do it and will walk if it comes to that. I had a job before this one and I’ll find another after it. I was hoping to lock in my hazardous duty pay and have 4 years left but standing on principles and on the side of the constitution and our God given rights are more important.
Folks need to understand that public employees do not work for us. They work for the people in power who write their checks, promote them and control the keys to their pension. That’s reality........

The problem we LEOs we have ran into is that they do the bidding of leftist gov all the time. In Texas, red suburbia, Plano Texas, BLM blocks intersections, and a guy that had his car blocked in starts yelling at them, he is ushered away by Plano PD while blm blocks a very busy intersection.
Portland, antifa basically has a free pass to do as they wish and the cops watch them do it. Someone on the right responds and they are quickly arrested and ushered away.

I'm so tired of people hiding behind the constitution to attack policies and political views they don't like. Our country is built on checks and balances, courts, laws and people. People with various views who vote, sit on juries, become constitutional lawyers, run for office and exercise their free speech regardless of experience, expertise on the subject or wit.

All cops aren't bad. Use to be the high school loser that got caught peeping in the girl's locker room, the fat endomorhic slug that couldn't do one push-up/pull-up to make a passing grade in gym class much less play sports, went on to be the cop that vowed to arrest you and everyone else on the varsity football team that made fun of him. I've witnessed this personally.
Then I've seen a better grade of applicant's in recent years that came out of the military after being deployed in the ME. Unlike the loser with a chip on his shoulder, most of those guys have a sense of self respect that keeps them from being a power starved chickenshit.
The problem is, the good guys, however honorable, will not step across the blue line and go against the bad cops. They may turn their back and distance themselves, a rare few may even quit and give up their pension, but forget them from coming forward or 'seeing anything' when the punk with a badge gets caught being a tyrant. They too know what retribution for not honoring the code can bring. I've witnessed this first hand also.
