I took my girls, 6 & 8, hunting today for the 1st time. Those 2 little girls had a blast. We didn't get anything but they didn't care. Today brought back a lot of great memories of hunting with my Dad when I was their age.
My brother and I took them back out again today. This time we were a little more successful. 1 cat squirrel. They didn't kill the squirrel, but they were thrilled anyway. These kids (actually all 4 of us) had a blast. They were fascinated at the things they saw and did today. The first 3 pics are of our hunting area, Bodcau WMA in Northwest La.
Thanks. They're my future step-daughters. They're father never did a thing with them and I'm the only Dad they know. We plan to keep them in the woods, on the lake & on the range. They love it and it'll help keep them out of trouble.
I'm trying to raise them like my Dad raised my us. Teach them right from wrong, how to take care of themselves, hug them when they need it and paddle their little butts when they need it. I'm loving being a Dad, even if they are little turds sometimes.
