Leupold Mark 4HD 6-24x52 PR2 in stock!
Interesting you mention this. Nebraska a few years ago started allowing anyone to use a crossbow during archery season. There has been no discernable difference in harvest rate compared to before they were allowed. If anything, more states need to further restrict the technology allowed, especially for muzzleloader and archery hunts.
Not selling, I was being facetious. It is a nice little scope. It’s just a nice little hunting scope for 100-200 yds lolLOL how much you want? That would go good on my 308 AR.

just placed my order. CST a pleasure to deal with once again.
Will compare this 6-24x Mark4 to a Mark5 7-35x, Razor AMG and Razor LHT i have on hand currently
Is the LHT the 4.5-22 FFP version? To follow up on this - the mark4hd glass is on par with the LHT and slightly behind the 7-35x mark5 and AMG. However, this is the best glass of a few 7-35x mark5 I’ve had and has the best overall glass of these 4 scopes. The AMG has the best CA control and FOV. Mark 4 eyebox probably the best of the bunch. Extremely forgiving.
Overall it really is just a slimmed down mark 5. The controls are excellent and feel exactly like the mark 5, just smaller. Windage turret the same as the elevation in quality. Maybe slightly better coatings on the mark5 but once again, that could be sample variation. Hard to tell the difference.
My only complaints are it is limited in the FOV but I knew that going in. It’s very similar to the LHT in that aspect. Also, no caps included by Leupold which is super gay for a $1500 optic. I have extras to use but it’s the principle.

What did you dislike about the PR1 reticle?Second range trip for a 4.5-18 PR2, and I like this optic. As a more average user that can't speak to every tech detail, I think its a better user experience than the Mk5 3.6-18. Its more balanced to the eye, the CDS type big number dial comes on it, and the parallax tuned shockingly well for me.
I was hesitant with the PR2 because the NH1 was my only complaint on a Hensoldt 4-16, with .25 mil increments just not doing doing it for me personally. But I disliked the PR1 on my Mk5 enough to get rid of it, so I figured I'd try the next evolution. I like it. The gapped aim points make sense to my mind thinking in .2 increments, and I like the open top end.
Its a neat optic. First Leupold I've "enjoyed" using in a while.
Too thin at mid mag. Had to run and adjust illum when I didn't want to, to compensate. No need for so much hashing up top. Don't get me wrong, it was a step up from the TMR. Not trying to dog that reticle, just explaining my thoughts on the PR2 as it sits in the 4HD.What did you dislike about the PR1 reticle?

Same here.Anybody had hands on with the 2.5-10? Thinking about the SFP illuminated 2.5-10 for a 14.5" AR.....
The SFP tmr reticle looks a whole lot thinner and cleaner than the ffp one. I despise the ffp tmr.
Only indoors, but I kinda liked it. I don’t know what you’re expecting though. I believe the SFP TMR is the same as the FFP TMR at full mag. It’s a semi-thick, usable reticle at 2.5x.Anybody had hands on with the 2.5-10? Thinking about the SFP illuminated 2.5-10 for a 14.5" AR.....

Ok on the leupold website the reticles appear quite a bit different. I was hoping they were a true representation as the SFP one looks much nicer. If not I will have to wait for them to add some different reticle options.Only indoors, but I kinda liked it. I don’t know what you’re expecting though. I believe they stock dealers before they stock their LE/MIL program so some items, usually hot ticket items, are a long wait, you might want to contact some of the Hide dealers who might be able to get close in pricing. CS Tactical, Eurooptic, Cameralandny would be where I'd start...I belong in their LE/MIL program and have been trying to get one of several of their Mark5 HD for 2 MONTHS. always says NOT available. Same with their Delta point Pro dots.
Guess they must have geared up for the Mark4 line, although several of those now show out of stock also. There are dealers who apparently have the optics mentiuoned but nothing from the factory..
I just bought a lht for my new hunting rig. Kinda wished I knew about this first. Although I did buy my scope from go hunt so I got a ton of points that went to a pair of Phoenix bagsTo follow up on this - the mark4hd glass is on par with the LHT and slightly behind the 7-35x mark5 and AMG. Same here.So how are the leupold 2.5-10X working out? I am thinking of buying two of them for my scoped AR15s. Mainly shooting steel and occasional coyotes.
I’ve got the vortex in that mag range. (Pst genii on a 6arc) best mag range for a small gas gun (in my opinion)
Yeah like no PR2 in the Mark 5, 3 to 18I’ve noticed they do that a lot. It’s why I don’t own much leupold. Love the scopes and binos but the options make no sense to me
Thankfully that is an option now. But not illuminated.Yeah like no PR2 in the Mark 5, 3 to 18
Thats good to know, thank you.Thankfully that is an option now. But not illuminated.
Mark 5HD 3.6-18x44 M5C3 FFP PR2-MIL
Pick up a Mark 5HD™ 3.6-18x44mm and you'll feel the difference. It's up to 20 ounces lighter than other riflescopes in its class, giving you an advantage in the field or at the range. The versatile 3.6-18x magnification range helps you engage close targets, while also giving you the flexibility...www.leupold.com

I was thinking of trying one of these, but I can't find any solid reviews of one. Only the higher mag models.
Mark me down as someone looking for data from anyone who has had the 2.5-10. I'd love some real-world feedback on how it holds up and such. This thing looks like the perfect price-point-to-quality ratio, but need some feedback from anyone who has had it on hikes/hunts/etc.Anybody had hands on with the 2.5-10? I fished the illuminated FFP 2.5-10x42 Mark 4HD out of the mail today. No real testing yet. Illuminated TMR is an aging reticle design, but what I plan to use it for, it is not a bad option.
Image quality looks quite good now that I have finally been able to take a look at it indoors and outdoors.
I am mixed on whether I miss sidefocus or not. Depth of field is pretty good. For a crossover hunting/SPR scope, it should work fine for me in the 50 to 600 yard range, but I need to spend some time shooting with it first.

Will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the TMR for a crossover scope and whether illumination is worth the $200. At $999 (or less) the 2.5-10×42 is pretty well priced.I fished the illuminated FFP 2.5-10x42 Mark 4HD out of the mail today. No real testing yet. That really comes down to whether you spend a lot of time in low light with it. TMR is a nicely visible reticle, but in low light against a dark target, illumination clearly helps. Played with it yesterday. Will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the TMR for a crossover scope and whether illumination is worth the $200. At $999 (or less) the 2.5-10×42 is pretty well priced.

When I was trying to get a T3 Mk5HD 3.6-18, I finally emailed them after waiting for months. They replied they should be available soon and I think it was either that evening or the next day it was available.I have been on their notification list for four different models--all MarkHD models.
