My only nag about the scope is the long post. If your in a hurry and laying on a sloped hillside I think it would be difficult to determine exact level with that post. If your off 1 degree at 4-500 yards of elevation it would not be a hit.
I wish they would give us a choice of reticles on the 1-4x trijicon or even make a tactical 1-6x with choice of reticles.

Yes, it's the Trijicon TR24G 1-4x with the green triangle reticle.

Have you had any time shooting your MWS w/ the TR24G mounted yet? If so would you mind giving me a little aar on the combo. I am in the market for one but I can't decide on red or green. I am used to using red because my TA31 and aimpoints are all red.I personally have had no experience with any green trijicon product and was wondering if you have noticed any wash out in certain lighting conditions or with a weapon light in use. I tried the rds/ magnifier combo as you have and it just wasn't working out. Thanks </div></div>
I have a few rounds downrange with the TR24G mounted. It is my first green Trijicon reticle as well, and I really like it. It's much better than amber (for my eyes) and arguably better than red, although I would not cry if I had to use a red reticle. Certainly, the triangle reticle is much sharper to my eyes than the M4s 2MOA dot viewed through the 3x magnifier.
I shot from a shaded firing point on a bright sunny day with a grassy hill as my backstop and did not notice any issues with the green of the reticle not being immediately visible against the green of the grass and brush. Stepping into the sunlight to shoot offhand, I was grateful for the ability to adjust the fiberoptic window to keep the reticle sharp. Having this capability built-in (vs as a add-on for the ACOG) is very useful.
The eye box is not unlimited, but it is easy to get a good sight picture even at 4x. Glass is typical Trijicon quality (outstanding). I also like the adjustment knobs. You zero, then lift up on the outside of the knob to disengage it, and spin the markers to zero without moving the erector assembly. Pretty cool.
Zeroing the tip of the triangle at 50yds, the drop for my 168gr Amax factory loads is 4.1MOA, which is also the height of the triangle... so aiming at 300 you can dim down the illumination a bit by closing off the fiberoptic window, then use the base of the triangle as your aiming point. You won't be shooting bugholes, but you'll certainly get good hits on steel with meaningful accuracy. Past 300, you can set up a rough BDC on the elevation knob by coloring in markers for 400, 500, etc.
Overall, the TR24G is a good optic for the 308MWS (understanding its limitations). I'm not at all disappointed, and I suspect you won't be, either.
