I want to buy a sonic cleaner and saw Hornady have this one coming out in 2011 so am tempted to wait for it.

http://www.hornady.com/store/Sonic-Cleaner-new

However, I'm impatient and think the $300 asking price is a bit rich. Looking around I found this one made in China but looking rather similar to Hornady's. Does anyone have any experience of these or know if they are the Hornady supplier? The manufacturer seems pretty established and supplies to the medical and jewellery industry from what i can see so i don't think they've copied Hornady. I'm sure they can be found for a fraction of the cost, albeit without the nice logo.

Anyone know anything about them ?

Re: Lock-N-Load® Magnum Sonic Cleaner

You can find a sonic cleaner used for lab equipment and dental supplies online for around 75.00. Usually they come with an internal heater and about a 2.5L tanke capacity. Personally, I wouldn't spend 300.00 on an ultrasonic cleaner with the hornady name on it when you can find one just as good if not better for 1/4 of the cost.

if it were me, for 300 dollars you might as well get set up for Stainless steel media cleaning....

I went back and forth for a while trying to decide which one I wanted to upgrade to. Decided on the ultrasonic. Got the whole set up and used it twice....Sold everything the next day and bought everything for Stainless steel media and I haven't regretted it at all. Ultrasonic worked well enough, but I found it to be a hassle compared to Stainless steel.
