LRP-07 inconsistent accuracy

I Dont have a bed time! Look up whats going on in ohio. Oil big time$$$$$
And why do you think i am gay? You looking for a peace of ass. ? LMFAO

If you have all that money then maybe you should use it on a basic English class and then buy yourself some wit. I think your gay because you mention "bitches" and "ass" like a hungry homo begging for a bratwurst. And I always prefer my ass to be at peace rather than at war... You probably won't get that last part though...

I honestly feel bad for you, dude. Did your father not pay enough attention or something? Take some time off the internet and try to get your life together.

Yup... I mean how can I not be with you getting all the bitches and hoes while throwing up $5 bills in the air shouting out phrases like a backwoods inbreed with a kindergarten education out of MAD magazines and Call of Duty video games...

I found your home videos...

You still mad!

Would suggest OP start a new thread and shut this one down-it's reached a dead end, and the original question remains unanswered. LV-you have outlived your usefulness-be smart enough to know what you don't know.

Who alse uses them???

Just because not everyone is immediately jumping on the bandwagon doesn't mean the technology isn't good. BTW, POF uses a larger aluminum barrel nut to help distribute and displace heat, just a little different application.

JP also uses a totally different barrel profile compared to any other company out there. They must not work either since nobody else has stolen the idea...

Who else does thermal fitting? oh, nobody so that must be worthless too...

lets switch gears, Do any auto manufacturers have features that no other auto manufacturer has? Sure enough they do. Get where were are going here?

I have read some where they don't do shit. I order for it to work you would Have to have a fan. Blowing on TD to move heat away !

That's. Why there's. A fan on your PC....and car.

...the TD makes to much barrel mirage

Actually, several shops do thermal fitting of the barrel, plus several other techniques to avoid heat drift. But you are right in that there are some techniques and technologies that work well that few people utilize, or even know about. There are some "things" out there that are claimed to be better but that are really not.

JP has long been the leader and innovator is pushing the platform beyond plain vanilla mil-spec.

Do you know what brand/brands of rifles are doing a thermal fitment process? I just haven't seen anyone else advertise such a process.

Thank you

Usually if it's the barrel nut you'll have POI shifts, slight at first but getting progressively worse over time. Surprisingly when this happened to my 6mmART40 the rifle still shot small groups, just shifting around.

CC, ARC rings are different than normal rings, they act more like a strap wrench distributing force around the scope tube instead of crushing down or sideways.

TLX, try shooting off a benchrest with a flat sled attached on the bottom too identify if the problem if bipod related.

I have a LRP-07 and I know 3 more who own them and they are TACK DRIVERS and I have never seen this happen. Nothing is ever 100% perfect all the time but this is odd to say the least. BEST bet would be to call either Ben or whoever else answers the phone and I promise you they will work with you until the problem is solved one way or another. Don't worry you have one of the BEST RIFLES made, PERIOD.

LV 426 I love Les Baer but you are an idiot, JP makes one of if not the best AR rifles on the market. It is just stupid to make a comment like that. You might want to think before you type.

They would. Be better if they had a krieger bull barrel . Or one of les bears barrels and you all wish they did.
Some of you even asked JP if they would install a different barrel!
I've seen 3guners have JPrifles but with different barrels.

Guess you've never heard of sponsorship or the term "custom"... I can understand your position though seeing as there aren't any in Call of Duty.

Call of duty...really. why did they swap barrels?? If Jp barrels or so good, ....if JP barrels are so good why Doesn't GA precision use them.... see I'm right .

I seen john shooting a ctr02 and the group's sucked, and i had a ctr02 5/8" was normal .
Not good for $ 3400 dollars, les bear 1/2" all the time.. and a lots of 1/4". 1" at 400 .
JP was not consistent ....its that stupid barrel profile ! Do BR shooter's. Use that profile ? no! I'm. Right again

You really don't have any reading comprehension do you? I'd explain it to you but you should probably put on your helmet first before you hurt yourself...

so 1/8th difference really makes that big of a difference to you ? you must have the best shooting semi ever. Hopefully GA gets its act together. You run your mouth an awful lot maybe we could validate some of these claims at Thunder Valley Precision one weekend since that is your area of the world.

I was on this forum for nearly 5 years before realizing that there was an "ignore user" function...in the past couple of months it seems I use it more than I use the "post reply" function.

So private that you run your mouth online to anyone about allegedly how rich you are, all your skills, blah blah blah... I'll bet I have friends with kids who could outshoot you with their daisy red ryder.

I'd like to see a picture of your rifle sitting on a newspaper with your forum name sharpied on it to the left and one of your many 1/2" groups on the right.

This thread is a fucking travesty. The 105k Hide strikes again...

OP, contact JP, nobody is going to know their rifle better than them. Hopefully you can send it in to either get it repaired if necessary, or a clean bill of health to rule out it being the problem. ANY manufacturer's firearms can have issues, even the top tier. I don't care who made it, any machine can and will break.

Typically, provided you are being consistent with equipment and setup, it's not going to be a marksmanship issue if you are able to produce several good groups on most days, and fall to shit others with only the one rifle. Yes, large frame ARs are a different animal, but this sounds like an equipment issue if he is being consistent otherwise.

My assumptions are these: You know what you're doing on your loads, you're using the same position and equipment each outing, and you are a skilled precision shooter in general.

I would start with a scope other than the PST. Let's face it, they've had issues. Following that, I would use some different factory loads. Get your hands on some from Copper Creek or Southwest, or even step up to premium loads from Cor-Bon, Applied Ballistics, etc. Next I would have other shooters test fire it and you bench rest it to remove you and potential fundamentals issues from the equation. Moving on from there, contact JP for diagnosing a possible issue with the rifle. I would not go tinkering around with it myself voiding the warranty, that's for those of us that build our own rifles.

Everyone else that are participating in the internet tough guy shit needs to sit the fuck down and let the OP have his thread back.

Back to some original comments on reasons why this shooter is having trouble with his JP.

Can anyone tell me why follow through (staying in the gun) is so important after the round has exited the barrel?

I have seen really good shooters exaggerate this after the round has hit the target! What's the point?

Thanks

OK, so I went to the range again today and had a few outstanding groups and a few horrible groups. I was about ready to run my rifle over with my car! (exaggeration obviously) I know oyu guys say it could be technique, but I tried everything, and can't believe I'm really pulling things that bad.

Fast forward to a little bit from then. I happen to look at my scope and theres a bit of a shimmer in front of the rings. Looking at them from a specific angle, you can see sliding marks. My scope has been sliding in the rings the entire time! I checked the torque before going out!

In pursuing this problem, I have changed scopes, played with torque, moved the scope to level it and to install level and etc.. So I'm assuming every time I do something with the scope, its good for X amount of shots and then starts moving. Also maybe sometime it did shift and others it didn't. Hence why the accuracy was so on and off.

I'm gonna call the manufacturer and see whats going on, and most likely just use other rings. Im really crossing my fingers that this will fix my issue. It's hard to take a picture of it because its only visible under the right light, but this is what I was able to capture:

The marks are to the left of the rings (scope was sliding forward)
