MDT Black Friday 2024 Celebration (or crash)

I guess all that trying to add and it did finally show up but says their out and I cant place the order

Tried for over an hour, just wanted a few mags. Finally got to add them, sold out, backordered 8-10 wks. Took another 10 minutes to get to my cart to delete them. I'll just pick them up someplace else

How about those of us that are trying to check out and can't due to your site failures and now we can't because things are out of stock? I've been trying to give you several thousand dollars for an hour and eighteen minutes... And there's a nice note at the top of the page that my cart is being held for 40 minutes but, as daytime television said, THAT was a lie...
 
This is a mess. Trying to purchase 1 standard Ckye pod, It added 3 x the standard Ckye pod while the website was stuck without updating my Cart. After it finally updated I tried to reduce it to 1 without success and now it deleted all 3. And the triple pull which I only put on there thinking the standards and doubles were sold out wont let me check out. So i got nothing.

I hear ya boys! Trust me, not happy about this, still checking with the team every 5 min. I will let everyone know once it is back up and running.

Spent an hour on the crashed site with a chassis in my cart. Finally get to the queue system, go to checkout, and its OOS.

Can I send last year's socks back in exchange for a chance to actually get the chassis I couldnt buy this year? Gonna end up buying a Manners instead I guess.

I'm in the SAME BOAT!! What makes it worse is the nice timer at the top of the page telling us not to worry because they're holding our carts for us. But they were not...
 
Seriously......hire an actual ecommerce IT consultant or service to help you guys out. You guys have the most amazing customer service and support in the business. This is just about anticipating demand.....especially after building up anticipation.

The fact you guys are getting hammered for sales is a great thing, and people want your stuff. If it sells out in minutes, that's ok, but the site crashing, and not working as expected......I don't blame you, but the person in charge who didn't anticipate this after the last few years..........not acceptable by any means. It's not rocket surgery.

It stated it would hold it for xx minutes. Now it states its below inventory. I appreciate your efforts but this is disappointing.

As I was browsing through black Friday items, I found some arca rails on sale. I didn't know what size I needed so I kept browsing for other stuff. I went to go measure my rifles handguard and when I came back, they no longer had arca rails on black friday sale so I couldn't purchase it.
 
Nothing gets held in the cart; that is why it is best to check out right away and make multiple purchases. So you can secure what you are looking for.

an hour and a half, refreshing until I was on the page and clicking add to cart only to watch it saying it "adding to cart" only to kick me out. Got the wait in line page. . . even had the item in the cart, wouldn't let me check out and now all gone. Only wanted 1 thing. A CZ 457 Gen 2 Premier Stock. . . didn't care about the color or blemish. gone.

I mean this sounds good, but some of us are buying many many things. That would mean we would pay shipping so many times. We are shopping the black Friday sale to save money since some of us don't earn as much.

Someone sniped the Carbine stock I want that was in my cart, but I got an order through for a Ruger LSS-XL AR chassis, bridge and different stock. I didn't check out right away because of the message in the cart that said my items were being held.

I do apologize for that. During the sale, the items in your cart will not be held. It's best to check out right away and then come back for the rest and multiple purchases.

huh MDT said they would clear cart in their presale faqs. this was posted in the black Friday thread.

Clearing a cart is very different from the cart page displaying a message that your items are being held for ~40 mins only to then find out that they were not held. I'm sure people read that and took that as having time to add other items to the cart without losing what they had added. The website should not have had such a misleading message there. It should have said something more like "Adding a item to your cart means nothing until you can complete checkout. Any items in your cart may be removed if sold out so you need to check out as fast as possible".

If you make multiple purchases, you can send the order numbers to us at [email protected], and we will refund the additional shipping charges. We have it in our Black Friday FAQ on the website
