After reading all of the disheartening threads. I thought I'd post something that is good for us all. To let you all know, that I've had a shitty cold for 4 days. I decided after watching moonshiners, to try this over the counter moonshine from the local liquor store. I know its not back woods stuff, but its what is available to me. And it worked although I have drank enough to make my eyes blurry, my sinus have cleared up and i can breath again, and no more coughing. Hopefully I feel this way tomorrow. Happy holidays.

Several years ago down in south Georgia at a big match I got something like the flu or a bad cold. I went to a friend to see if he had something to drink I could get maybe a little in a water bottle. He gave me almost a gallon jug full of Peach 'shine. I took a great big drink after getting the trailer hitched & my wife set to drive us home. She parked the trailer in the church parking lot that joins our property and dragged me off to bed. I woke up 2 days later. But the fever and aches were all gone. Whew, man that stuff was strong enough to strip paint. I don't know what the proof was but it would burn a blue flame if you touched it with a match.
I'll bet I called him half a dozen times thanking him for that jug.

Ahhhh, Peach shine. The real trick with shine, and I learned this after knee walking 100 yds through 6" of snow trying to find my car, is to pour what your going to drink into a glass, and put the jug away.
If you get into the jug your done for.

AMEN brother, AMEN!!!! There is NOTHING worse than a damn good Shine hangover. Rates right up there with Chemical Warfare. But it's SOOOO damn good!!

It worked for me and I drank less than a pint. I'm going to hit it again when I get off duty in the AM tomorrow, as I think I may still have just a touch of congestion left. Who said TV does have good info on it these days. Tickle is my new doctor.
