Bob Nelson, for those of you who aren't old enough to have been born under a Whig administration ...

Thanks for digging those out. To this day I still make reference to those bits, but depressingly few of my peers remember them. Up until she died a few years ago my mother would remind me of some of his routines and reminisce about how much the whole family would crack up to Bob Nelson. He was a hugely funny guy that didn't have the success of some of his much less talented cohorts from that era.

Man that was funny. I'm going to be chuckling for a while and saved it to pass on to a couple of carpenter buddies. Epic

Yep been there! I had two clients in socal (I was an electrical contractor at the time) one guy a day trader (lost $450M during the 9/11 market crash) but that was just lost profit for the year......

Money was nothing to these people. Frickin insane the amount of money they would throw at something, especially just to fix a problem it or make it go away. The day trader was bent when I moved to Texas, I flew from our local airport back to socal multiple times on his Gulfstream to take care of stuff on his house and business property. I couldn't imagine how much the ride on the Gulfstream cost let alone what I charged him for the day rate.

That totally sounds like exactly the opposite of what young men coming up should do with their women.

Then I suppose men should thank their women for only taking half when they leave? hahahahah

And it keeps getting better. hahaha two divorces.........after two divorces you may realize that maybe marriage just ain't in the cards for you.

It's like burning your hand on the barrel of a hot SAW........you only do that shit once to learn your lesson.

***Before anyone calls bullshit, this is definitely one of those things you can’t make up.***

As for the SAW thing, not true. I knew a dumbass Sergeant in the FMF that reached down to help one of his squad members up by picking up his SAW, - barrel first! Mind you, this was during a live fire exercise immediately after firing LOTS of rounds. So, his eyes light up & understandably he grabs his hand & screams. What does this dumbass do next? Like, literally 1.5 seconds later, he picks up the same SAW w/ the other hand. Same results. The fucking guy completed the field op w/ both his hands wrapped in gauze. There was a lot of shit talking & snarky comments made that week that we’re all at that guy’s expense.
