Yes, same in my area of Texas. There is currently .22 ammo everywhere. It may dry up eventually now that all other ammo is gone but who knows.

As for .22LR ... just checked Ammoseek, looks like there is still plenty from online sources, running now around 4.5 cents a round. I'm not sure how much is "enough" of .22LR. I've got two .50 cal GI ammo cans filled to the brim with the stuff. I think that's around 10,000 rounds or so. I still have not even shot my new Ruger Mark IV Huntsman and I bought it nearly two years ago! Geesh. Time to get it out I suppose. The trusty old Ruger 10/22 has not been used for a very long time either

I look seriously askance at those that attempt to make their living or a significant portion of it from posting youtube videos casting themselves as authorities of any sort on any topic. The very few youtube stars that know what they're talking about enough to not receive such looks are identified by their failure to make promotional statements in favor of any sponsor. Instead the people that know what they're talking about seem to rely on donations from individuals via Patreon rather than ad or product-sponsorship dollars. Yes, I'm judgemental. Yes, they deserve it.

It's cultural anymore in the high tech industry. I won't even work for farcebook or twatter or scroogle or a host of other outwardly totalitarian/prog-lib outfits regardless of how much they offer (and they have) because they're outwardly prog-lib and because they're outwardly prog-lib they make bad business decisions like alienating millions of legitimate, legal, paying customers. A lot of us conservative high tech sorts have started to move toward other companies, especially companies in the defense and industrial sectors where company memos don't spend their time bashing us or our views but focus on the real mission of the organization. It's causing a great rift in the job market because prog-libs, while often technically savvy and creative as hell, are hyper-prone to making strategic decisions that are catastrophically bad since they rule with their politics instead of their desire to have a successful business. So if a company is stuffed full of prog-libs and a conservative or just non-prog-lib tries to join, they'll be circular filed without any true consideration (seen it a number of times). I have been selling and tradeinf ammo, I stocked up good years ago. Decided to consolidate and sell off unused calibers while the demand is there.

Not gouging by any means, my local dealer gave me parts I needed and a nice discount on a new gun in trade, and flipped it all for a nice profit on his end.

I have at least 50,000rnds of rimfire ammo... with the cheapest being CCI subsonic HP's. I think I have around 20,000rnds of that. The rest is center-x or better. Though I will need to buy at least 4-5 cases of center-x/midas+/xact to see me through the summer.

My 597 loves eley match, but shoots the target 90% as good for half the price. Apparently the $5/50 was close enough to cheap all the target was gone. Still plenty of match left so I guess I'll be buying $100 bricks for a bit.

I also agree with Mrgunsngear - 22 rimfire will be the last type of ammunition manufacturers bring back into production - it's just a business decision.

The LGS rec'd 48 new Glocks last Tuesday - with the exception of a G20 & a G34, they were all sold by Thursday. Ammo sales went just as high - either from the new buyers, or people not wanting to be left behind again. All of the AR's are gone, all of the home protection size shotguns are gone. (but you can have your pick of bolt action hunting rifles - they are still on the wall)

Many of the people that came into the LGS were people that had never wanted to own a gun before that day. They are afraid of what they hear and see on the news.

When police depts. say they will not respond to many common crimes, people are realizing (maybe for the first time in their lives) that they are responsible for their own protection and the protection of their family.

I'm sorry people are panic buying, but it is not surprising.

I haven’t watched him since he was advocating for calling authorities when someone made a video of themselves cutting up an AR. His angle was “they made an SBR when they cut the barrel.”

This was very bad for several reasons:

1: there’s no mens rea

2: authorities ain’t gonna waste time

3: and most importantly, you’ll give the person who had mass reports filed a pedestal. All of a sudden their voice will be heard when it would have otherwise just disappeared.


Along with most anytime he attempts to make a legal analyzation, it’s almost always flawed.

I fail to see how that's "proof" that any of them are "paid shills" as you referred to them. It seems to me that Leviathan Tribe is just a marketing agency for outdoors/tactical/2A people on social media which, if anything, means they're probably paying the agency to get their content out there. Be it that the definition of a "shill" is "an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others", then the only thing I can see any of them being a "shill" for is the 2nd Amendment and shooting sports which isn't a bad thing in my eyes.

It’s also a good idea to look into what guys where using/speaking well about before they were affiliated with something.

There’s a few products I’ve raved about in the past, because I genuinely like them. Now I have working relationships with those companies because they appreciated my support and also want opinions on things based on mine or others experience. So, I’ll obviously be a bit biased as that’s human nature......but I’m only in the situation because I originally had an unbiased appreciation for the product.

So, when I see something like that, I still find value in the information. When it’s someone who bounces around from manufacturer to manufacturer or does reviews on random things all the time, I’m a bit more skeptical.

Well put, MAC has been notoriously critical of numerous firearms platforms to the point that I've seen people avoid watching him cause they think he's just going to shit on whatever he's reviewing, the "first gen" Sig P365 and the FN509 Tactical come to mind. (He didn't "dislike" the 509 but he had a lot of issues with the included recoil spring that was to be used will running suppressed).

I’m sure most people did not know they were reviews paid for by the manufacturers. I’m not saying they’re liars, but if they’re professional marketers making a commercial, and not just guys who are making videos about their hobby it’s not the same.

Why not a logo with a “sponsored by...”? I think that would make it honest. I get why people think it doesn’t pass the smell test.

I don’t take the paid athlete seriously and I wouldn’t take guys paid by a company to push their product on social media. At least I wouldn’t trust it to not be biased.

The marketing scheme here is it’s called a “review” and not an endorsement.
