Absolutely awesome... I'm a big .223 fan being an AR guy and the only thing holding me back from doing something similar is that all the matches around here require 6mm or larger for long range steel matches. Ar you getting good easy to spot hits on steel out at 800-1000 yards? I would do something similar if I could use it in long range field matches...

It depends on the conditions, but I have shot this rifle out to 1240yds on steel (see above pics) and we could see the hits on the paint. But Ive also shot it in matches in poorer weather conditions where hits at 750 and 900 were very hard if not impossible to see or hear.
