I am looking to find out if author John W. Swancara from Pisgah Forest, NC is still alive. He wrote Project 19: A Mission Most Secret that is about the covert US involvement
in early stages of WWII.
I have a copy of the book and I am attempting to make contact as I had an uncle that served in the OSS and was part of the operation there. I have photos and some journal entries that I would like to share with him.
I did the usual internet stuff and attempted to contact the publisher with negative results.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
