Need starting point 308 150smk remmy xcr 20"

308 1 in 12 twist, components i have
smk 150gr bthp,SGK 165gr btsp
RL 15,varget,IMR 4895
CCI 200 & Winchester LRP
FED brass.
I see some loading col to 2.9+ my info this is way long so if anyone has some info on how deep (long) my lands are in my rifle is that would help too.

To make sure where your lands are, it has to be measured. Have you tried just shooting the standard length listed in your manual.

yes i have and some good some not guess i was hopeing someone had the same gun and had a good load set for it ,a starting point

You REALLY need to do this FOR YOUR OWN RIFLE. Slight differences from one rifle to another can cause serious damage to you and the rifle shooting someone elses data.

I have a rem. Ltr, .308. My chamber oal is 2.930, give or take a few. It doesn't really matter cause you can't seat that far, not enough bullet will be in the neck. Start at 2.805, I havent experimented yet with my oal, just got my first box of 175 smk's to try, so cant help you too much. On second thought since you are shooting the 150's you cant really do a whole lot with coal because those bullets are relatively short.
