Just built my first .223AI. I just love the way it shoots. I'm parroting internet lore now, so I may be full of crap. My impression, and one of the main reasons I chose .223AI is barrel life. My friends who shoot them are reporting barrel life comparable to regular .223 i.e., 3k-4k rounds. More internet lore says 22-250 is a barrel burner. Take all that for what it's worth.

If you shoot a lot the 223 or 223ai is the way forward. Ai for less trimming. Accurate with normal 223 loads for fireforming brass. You can load the improved cases to normal 223 velocities too. It's nice to have the option to step on the gas or the brakes easily.

I went 8 twist so I could shoot the light varmint bullets at Mach Jesus and not worry about blowing them up and go up to the 80s for longer ranges.
