Here's where you are wrong:
You incorrectly assume I'm upset about Larry getting banned. That akin to being upset when the Sun sets in the West! Everyone who knows his MO knows he's like a comet. All of a sudden, he's here, streaking brightly across the sky. Just as quickly, he burns to full bright before going dark...
All I do is watch the show & enjoy it for what it is...a spectacle.

Being a very thick skinned New Englander, I shrugged it off since, at the end of the day, he has a lot of practical knowledge about this craft...equipment, repairs, shooting and most of all reloading and ballistics.
He is capable of being an complete and utter douche but also capable of being very helpful. I don't think where he lives is dull. He shoots all the time; fishes all the time and it is all from his back porch. I would give my right arm for that - I am LH

Strange thing is Frank, I started seeing some of this same kind of shit about a year before the scout move, but now it's much worst.
Someone told me (in jest?) you might require a vetted group size at X yardage before being able to post here, that sounds reasonable given the bulk of who you replied to in your quote. Hate to say it but we have lost some good folks to this kind of shit over the years, got to be a way to fix it. Allowing none shooters, (save FNG's who really wanted to learn) gamers, and bear pit posters only was never allowed back when. I understand the need for diversity but when you look at where they don't post, or if they do it's irrelevant to the thread, my question is what are they really here for? Not everyone has BTDT and, of those all are not match shooters. Of the high end match shooters most of them have never BTDT but, those two groups do learn from each other. My question is this, as a group what do we learn from the thin skin, gamers, a none shooting trouble makers? Maybe we should just allow the likes of water boy an K-guns to return as well. Still love the image of the K-guns scope you introduced, but must admit had it not been for that leading into his implying of the posted photo of a shirt/coat w/ V/N ribbons on it I'd have never meet j-Huskey or the guys from/at HardRock what 12-14 years ago.

PM and I are going to do a .22LR comp. I've not shot my CZ for a good while so it'll be educational. I'm MORE than happy to follow up on my challenge to Moby for a 5 @ 500yd. I should apologize to Moby, someone sent me a pic of him at a rifle range. Not shooting, or even holding a rifle, of course, but nevertheless, with folks who did have rifles. I was deeply moved by this display of bravery on his part.
If veer wants to get behind a rifle, and prove his decades of experience as an NRA instructor in rifles I'd be happy to be humbled by his demonstrated expertise and prowess. Perhaps he's too busy thinking up recipes of "Pint's Maternal Pussy Souffle" or "Pint's Mummy's Tossed Salad"

Yes Sunday I am shooting a .22 and APOG will be shooting his .22.
50 yards, an A23 target, 50 rounds.
First 25 rounds (or what you need) will be used for sight in.
Second 25 rounds will be fired into a clean A23 target.
His rifle is currently scoped so Ill shoot a scoped rifle.
Anyone else want to join?
We can open a post here titled "Results of 3/23 .22 shoot".
Include picture of your rifle, and a picture of your second A23 with 25 rounds in it. I don't think we need a picture of that days newspaper to prove date but if you live in the northeast and there are leaves on the trees in your picture something is wrong.
I guess other info such as what ammo you used would be interesting.
Id suggest opening it to open sights also as not everyone might be scoped. I actually like my iron sighted gun better but I don't care, any chance to shoot is fun and its been awhile since I shot either my scoped or iron .22,
I like the A23 target because when I shoot irons its plenty easy to see. Its huge for a scope but so is the number of rounds firing for group (25).
The results will give as much an indication of the rifles ability as the shooters. The distance should limit the effects of wind and weather.
No prizes, no bragging rights, perhaps proof that posters actually own a rifle and do shoot it.
Someone contact Larry and be his surrogate to post his target. Let him know its expected he fire his target from underwater while someone actively spray paints his rifle and simultaneously sawzalls a half inch of barrel off betwixt each shot. extra credit if he catches a fish while shooting - hint.

So it's been a long time since I shot this rifle. looking down the barrel it's pretty grungy. what's the best way for me to clean this and have it in good condition for shooting tomorrow please?
