The Hide has hit the mark many of us talked about back in 2003-4, congrats you guys are winners. The kid bullshit in this thread is but a rearward looking glass into why this country is in the shape it is. A so called mod and his cronies, can not stand rebuttal an have to revert to off topic innuendo diversions to bolster their stature/view. Yet the root issue for the thread remains. You guys are a class act for sure, but I will give you this. The man who is unwilling to go the distance for his beliefs is always a tool to be used.

I've had my moments with Tucker, usually because he has a bias towards his friends and his application of the ban hammer. However, in this thread he's been transparent. He's following guidelines set and also, as a mod, he's stated Larry creates more work than he's deemed to be worth. Does he sometimes have fun at other people's expense? Sure, it's the Bear Pit after all.
With the exception of Veer who I'm not sure can shoot or at least hasn't since the Reagan administration (first term) everyone here picks up a firearm and uses it on a regular basis.
No one here hates this country or wants more govt or less freedom. We argue the nuances but no one here disrespects the flag, the Constitution or the folks in uniform who serve in all the capacities available to those with the passion to do so.
No one here is why shit goes south. On a range, at a BBQ, over a beer we would have a lot more in common than otherwise.

I don't care much one way or the other about Larry, but in reading through this thread, the above quote struck me as a damned odd line of thought for a man.
That is not true, it was someone who joined a site called "Snipershide", then got their feeling hurt. Now if this place was named Snowflake Shooters on the web, I could see a problem. Remains me of a asshole/s that got caught up (not partake mind you) in a real firefight when on guard, then bitched for days after in a warm hospital bed (being guarded by men) that he did not sign up for that shit. Apparently it was mine asking for info and experience on 22lr ammo and asking what ammo has worked well for others out of their cz455. He trolled the crap out of it with the usual nonsensical stuff about try it out on your own and find out. I eventually just asked for the thread to be deleted because too many "know it alls" were jumping on the bandwagon and the thread served no informational purpose.

My suggestion was to buy a few boxes of Eley (Edge, Tenex, Match) a few boxes of Lapua (Midas, CenterX) a few boxes of Wolf (Match, Match Extra) and maybe toss in some other randoms like SK Plus or RWS and shoot them at 50 and 100 yards, 5 shot groups. This mainly answers the 'which ammo usually works' as it'll be one of these, the trick is which one. I have a CZ455 in the Manners stock with Lilja barrel.

Haha. So ALL of them (said jokingly). I just figured I'd ask thinking someone could at least tell me what wasn't quality ammo so I could skip the trial process there. One guy assumed I just wanted to hear the cheap stuff worked but it's far from the truth. Being my first go around with a halfway decent 22lr, I pretty much know nothing about the 22lr ammo world and where better to ask than here. So far I have a box of Midas plus, SK match rifle and RWS R50 to try out.

Unlike you, I've actually spoken to Stag556. I had the pleasure of selling him my Giraud Annealer and I messed up by leaving out a couple of parts. He was very cool with it and didn't throw a shit fit the likes I've seen some of the 'men' here do over much much less.
Why don't you try and read AJ's post above and think about how to refer to your fellow shooters. Where did you get the notion I was butt hurt about it? I asked that it be deleted because 1. I started it and 2. Because it held no informational value, rather it was just full of nonsense about how I basically shouldn't ask certain questions here. This one specifically about 22lr ammo. What a novel concept that a thread not started in the bear pit should hold informational value. In fact, I didn't see your thread until you asked me to delete it. I kind of wanted to contribute to it, but when an OP asks for a delete, I generally oblige, unless there is good reason not to.
The fact is that someone brought to my attention a new user who seemed to be on a mission to piss off everyone he came in contact with, and a quick look at his style, and confirmation by tracing the IP, it was obvious it was Larry again.
We have a few members who have reincarnated after being banned, and we generally know who they are. Many, given a second chance, dial themselves back and largely stay in line. Larry is pretty much the opposite of that, and each iteration seems to be less concerned with being discovered and thus removed.
My guess is that he hits a stretch of particularly nasty weather, gets stuck indoors a few days, gets bored, and decides to have some fun at our expense. Thus it's never his intention to be either stealthy or enduring.
Re: 22 ammo, since this is now drudged back up - Good ammo costs more for a reason. Then it's just a matter of finding which good ammo your particular setup likes the best. If you spend time shooting crap and wondering what's wrong with your barrel, rest, scope, bedding, trigger, and every thing else except the ammo, you'll never realize the potential of the rig.
Skim through the 6X5 results, and the loads you want to try are there. Spend the money, do the work, and find your true love through trial and more trial.

You're right and I apologize, you weren't the one that linked my post. It was another member here. My apologizes for that.
Either way, my original post asked what other ppl have had success with using the setup I purchased, it being a stock offering from CZ, not a custom setup. And yes, that's a pretty straight forward question. Example: I have that rifle. I get my best results using XYZ ammo. My response: Thanks, I'll check that stuff out. That was amazingly simplistic. What a novel concept. And hey, if that ammo didn't work for me, on to the next one. I was actually pretty respectful throughout until he kept piling it on. What happens is suddenly people feel the need to start throwing around useless punch lines and insults because in the world of know it alls, you're not supposed to ask such juvenile and beginner"ish" questions such as that. And as I've stated before, I am a beginner to 22lr but not shooting sports.
I value the info ive received through others, especially the info I've received through PMs from multiple ppl who actually said they didn't want to post in that thread and get pounced on, which is pretty sad that ppl won't post in a thread and share good info because it will just get shit on by others.
