In my opinion it's not going to happen. Too close to the election and the government will kick in some money(back door so the taxpayers don't know) and they will claim they saved the economy. Something Trump could never do.

Wonder what sorts of stuff will get snuck into USA while 'port facilities' are in chaos? You know... for an epic October Surprise that will allow, say, an election to be cancelled or postponed?

Besides more money, the Longshoremans union wants a total ban on any automation of any type. Perhaps it's a nice thought to believe modern progress can somehow be halted, but unfortunately a nation must remain competitive with it's peers.
