I think we're past believing any letters from the deep state making wild and unsubstantiated claims. Frankly I'm amazed at the hubris of these assholes who serve at the pleasure of the CIC. we usually have a weekly meeting with "the boss" and that suffices for an activity report. However, the day after Elon sent this out, one team lead made us start this. I found it funny. Despite all the BS tracking software we have (teams, JIRA, etc) it all boils down to bullet points (as it should).

I demanded this when I ran a team and one member balked at me (20 years ago). But as I told him (and then the director who sided with him), that if you all want to know what the program has done, then I need people to write down their accomplishments. And if you have none, that's fine too so long as you didn't charge to my program.
