I believe the gist of what old dude said was the vaccine provided some degree of protection against severe disease. I’ll defend nothing he said other than that. He asked and I’ll ask you for any data that says vaccinated people are more likely to die from Covid than unvaxxed. I’ve looked for it and can’t find it. Unless the whole antibody dependent enhancement thing is real for this vaccine, you’re not likely to see higher “Covid deaths” in the vaxxed. That doesn’t mean it isn’t harmful. If you died from a vaccine induced stroke instead of Covid, you’re still dead. In my mind, that’s worse than a non effective but non harmful vaccine.

I wrote a critical care doctor here up for the vile stuff he was posting about unvaccinated people. He and a cardiologist at my hospital should be fired IMO. They’ve got no business taking care of people, period. I am not a fed and I’m no vaccine advocate.

As far as intubating patients, that was our protocol early on in the OR for any aerosolizing procedure. I can’t speak for the ICU. We did do it for provider safety, but you have to realize, early on, a known exposure to Covid was a 14 day quarantine. Any upper respiratory symptoms were a 14 day quarantine. They were touting a 10% mortality figure at the time. If your entire medical staff is out on quarantine, you can’t run a hospital, and who cares for the patients then? There was, at the time, no data indicating that intubation was harmful. But even if so, at least for a procedure that blows virus all over the place (think upper GI scope), would you really not considering the safety of the people in the room? It’s not that simple.

Funny they managed to run hospitals during a fucking Ebola epidemic, but we couldn't do it here vs a bad cold, without sedating and putting people on ventilators even though we knew it would likely kill them, and we knew it wasn't helpful. Just like we all know early treatment is better. But doctors went right along with that too.

Why does it always seem the doctors who have time to post, are always way behind the curve?

You knowingly subjected patients to treatment you knew was harmful to avoid quarantine. You knew the retarded policies would shut down the hospitals, and instead of fighting them, you intubated people even though you knew it was not safe for them. That is some sick shit right there. Back before this appropriately named thread, guys like @theLBC and many more of you, kept the light on the cockroaches with the election thread. For the most part it was good info with some banter about the finer details. As this virus shit grew it has consumed alot of our time with talk of cons and pros(mostly cons IMHO). I tried to make this point a day or so ago but it was lost in the growing cesspool of constant bickering about who's right...or righteous. Instead of well researched non mainstream news we wouldn't get on our own without hours of looking....we have this. Arguing about bullshit while the monster grows bigger and stronger. Our ranks are full of paid .gov's, true believers and just garden variety morons. Stirring the pot, gathering Intel and laughing at us while we bicker. We won't solve a thing here. Sure it's nice to vent to like minded folks....but are we? I'm guessing some of you know each other due to your service and shooting(ain't that what brought us here?) and that's great...but most here are like me, just a screen name and words...and titty pics...lol. ......so....the point right??
Let's get this back on track.....ignore is your best tool. If they don't get fed they wither until someone feeds them.

Holidays are coming....gather your family, protect the old folks, spoil the youngsters(and teach them a skill).
The only way this shit ruins us is if we let it.
Train, plan, prepare......and live!! The rest is bullshit.

Mueller very specifically said there was insufficient evidence to exonerate Trump. The AG and Congress chose to not pursue it because of course they didn't. Wouldn't look good for the GOP.

More evidence you're a lefty, not knowing simple civics.
People are assumed innocent until proven guilty, beyond a reasonable doubt.

The real question is why leftys are so averse to admitting they're leftys?
Is it some tiny, battered sense of decency that prevents them from admitting reality?
