It's one thing to be an immigrant, for which I have no problem so long as the immigration was legal; and another thing to still "cling" to the country from which one immigrated. At least to me. I've known multiple dual citizenship people. Not a single one would commit to me that they would never betray their citizenship to the USA...including one that had a clearance!

it's not jingoistic by any stretch. If you open your brain pathways, I know hard for someone already labeling it jingoistic, one cannot be loyal to 2 countries. At some point, you may be asked to choose one or the other. It's a matter of security and doing what is right, if you want to be a part of a gov't, a critical part actually, you should allegiance to only that country.

I can assure you being a dual citizen will absolutely factor into the adjudication decision for clearances, and especially for compartmented and SAP accesses. Dependency on the adjucating authority, holding a dual citizenship will lead to an automatic rejection. Unfortunately, congress scum and administration appointees are treated differently than the rank and file.
