There are SO MANY other things, people, entities, and organizations that deserve support, following, and (dare-I-say)reverence than 'sports'.

In a LOT of ways, a typical sporting event is like a wedding. A whole whack of time, money, and effort gets put into that one day. The next day though, whattaya got?

Elope, we did!

Yea, I’d like to have that 20 grand right now!

those sports agencies gladly supported the politicians that caused the lockdowns.....they have no one to blame but themselves.

the fact that we have people who play games professionally for a living is laughable.

once these shit agencies go under....then maybe families can spend less time on "sports" and more time on each other.

then colleges can stop offering scholarships to "student" athletes....and only admit students who deserve to be there.....then professors wont have to dumb down classes because the star QB cant do basic math.

once colleges no longer have that sports revenue coming in, theyll be forced to make cuts, and theyll weed out all the bullshit diversity/ sjw classes and college will go back to being an actual institution of learning.

and all those poor athletes who are "out of a job" can put their physical prowess to great use in a real job like coal mining or farming

I hope all "professional sports" go bankrupt.
It's well past time those virtue signaling parasites got their comeuppance for disrespecting America that made them great while showing utmost respect and obedience to the Chinese Communist Party. The "Athletes" and the "Owners" can all go take a boat to China and stay there.
I'm sure their Communist Masters will enjoy having some western pet animals to do little ball tricks with for their amusement.

America will be way better off without them sucking up time and money here.

I want to believe this, but these days are gone. As soon as it opens back up they will return to their self serving ifestyle; it’s too addictive and easier than working at a real job or a relationship.

No one wants to focus on anything but themselves any longer. That’s how this whole communism tree has taken root. I can’t be the only one seeing it.

ETA: until we start actually thinking and genuinely caring for others (family especially) we will never rid ourselves of socialism. And I cannot think of anything more socialist in our time that professional sports, where you front an ideal for the masses to believe in while you take in the money to spend in the most selfish way possible.

I'm not looking to create an argument on this. On the one hand, you're right. On the other hand, this battle needs to be fought. Long term. We can and will win.

No fight here. I agree with that. Raise the kiddos right - use the belt when needed, praise when it’s called for and support always. Show and explain the way. Set the example. It really does work. I shudder to think what I would be without boundaries that were firm.

Add to that the true love of a parent and you have a human that is worth something to themselves and society. I really do believe that.

Professional Sports Experienced Steep Fall in Ratings and Revenue in 2020
NFL – stands to lose $2.7 billion MLB – lost $5.2 billion NBA – missed projections by $1.5 billion NHL – revenue dropped by $630 million MLS and its clubs – lost $1 billion

Boycotts work.

If only this were a boycott. Most of my friends can't wait to get back to the games. And I'm talking about Trump voters. Not Democrats.

Remember watching Mike Webster the center for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I was about 100 pounds back in the early 70’s and watching Mike play center, what a tough guy. I thought he was the king of cool. Sad ending.
I am a massive 130 pounds but what we have playing now is a sad representation.

I love college football but haven't watch much of the pros since they started taking a knee. I know that college is just a stepping stone to the pros and that could change. I used to really like the way college was no nonsense sport, but now they are even showing off in the end zone, making hand signals that Lord knows what they mean. I wish the refs would start throwing penalty flags for all the gyrating that I am seeing now. Pros--- just forget it.

How fitting. Possibly one of the greatest things that has happened due to the pandemic. NFL and NBA are tops on my list of organizations that need a serious realignment. I used to watch the NFL, then the whole kneeling thing took place and they are no longer on my radar. I don't watch basketball, never have. Always exceptions to the rule, but I always found it interesting that some of the dumbest people in our society are some of the wealthiest. Not only dumb, but generally pieces of shit in almost all other aspects of life as well. Just read a story the other day about a former Chicago Bears player in his late 50s who was arrested for murder and drug possession with intent to distribute. This is a guy who was a well known player on a super bowl winning team. Probably made millions, how he is now in the position he is in is incomprehensible to me.

I know a local guy here who played in the NFL for about 4-5 years. He was a good player, but by no means a superstar. He treated it like a temporary job, made enough to live very comfortably for the rest of his life, and called it a career. I think half of it was the toll it took on his body, and the other half was that some of the people he played with and worked with were complete pieces of shit. He is an exception it seems.

I would love to see some of these organization go tits up and get a big dose of reality.

I haven't watched a pro football game in decades. It seems the most unathletic people, that fat slobs in the pizza and beer commercials that never played football growing up or if they did they were bench warmers, are the the ones that would waste every weekend glued to the set hero worshipping a bunch of steroid, illiterate thugs dropping passes.

The most boring, depressing thing was seeing Dallas playing on a black and white screen in a the late quarters on a Sunday afternoon, knowing you had to go to work the next day and hearing Pat Summerall's monotonous voice droning "...Newhouse didn't make much on that play".

I like that they are loosing money, wish the rest would go as well. I have always despised professional sports. College ball doesn’t bother me, but its not a grown up job. Id rather have cameras on our servicemen and watch them put some freedom seeds into commies and goat fuckers. Just not into watching dudes in spandex play with balls. Thats what i would expect gayguns and women to do. No offense gayguns.
