I've tried semi-auto rifles, and semi-auto pistols, and everything is .... well, quiet. All ammo I tried was hearing safe, even stingers, but they were a bit sharp. The CCI target was about 890fps, and the Remington Subsonic was about 820fps. The actual sound differences were insignificant, and could not be used to justify the increased costs of the Subsonic.

I am thoroughly pleased with the suppressor, and most likely will order a 22S in the future, just to have one.

BTW, I ordered and paid for this (as well as a .30BA) in August 2012. It's been a long wait-- next one will be an e-file.

I just paid for one last week. Hopefully it doesn't take over a year like yours.

I've shot CCI CB Longs in my Ruger 22/45 LITE with a Sparrow and it sounds like I'm shooting my CZ 452 16" with standard velocity.

Today i shot the Ruger 22/45 lite, and was quite pleased. Basically the sound of the action was louder than the report. Then I tried the Chiappa 1911-22, and I was amazed. Put some subsonics, and it was airsoft quiet.

The wait will be worthwhile.

The Silencerco Sparrow is a fantastic can. They are a local company to me here in Utah and I have been very impressed with their products. That being said, the Thunder Beast 22L-1 is noticeably quieter than the Sparrow. The 22L-1 is the best sounding .22 LR suppressor that i have heard to date.

Mine stamp should be here in another 2 months for mine and my brothers. I will probl get one of the s's also. They are extremely short but I wanted the 22L to start off with. Can't wait to get and use it.
