I'm in the market for a rim fire can in the $400 (or less) range. Most import features is minimal poi shift and sound suppression. I don't care much about as the rifle it'll primarily be on is a heavy 20" tube (now if the best option happened to be lightweight, even better).

I was drawn to something from Q as Kevin seems to be a leader in suppressor design, and while the erector is innovative, not sure how I feel about aluminum baffles. The El Camino looks intriguing as well, but not much on reviews still

    Any advice would be great

The Erector is a very cool silencer for a lot of reasons, but I think if you're looking for hard use, bombproof cans, it might not be the best fit due to its aluminum construction and 22LR only rating. That said, I've shot supers on a 16" bolt 22LR using the 3 baffle setup and it's really very pleasant. I think the 3 baffle is about the same length as an A2 birdcage. 22 pistols need ~4 baffles to be comfy to shoot. In the long config, it's one of the quietest rimfire cans I've ever fired. I never got to run it hard, so I can't speak to the durability.

I have a Q El Camino as well as TBAC's original sealed 22 short can. I like both, and to my ear they sound pretty similar. I haven't gone to the range yet to do a formal POI shift test on the El Camino, but my former coworker at TTAG tested it and said it improved accuracy a bit - no mention of POI shift

FWIW - he also tested the Erector

Recoil chose TBAC's 22 Takedown as their editor's pick in their roundup. I've always been a fan of TBAC products, but I've never fired this particular model.

For my money, I really don't think you can go wrong with either the El Camino or the TBAC.

savvy the steel tube offerings.........when that time comes when you have to place your can in a five jaw chuck to beat and pound out the baffles due to your poor house keeping, and your baffles are carbon welded together.....you are less likely to crush a steel tube versus a aluminium one...................just sayin

Riverman Gun works in Idaho had a special, and made the price permanent, on a .22 rimfire suppressor for $100 bucks. Mine is in jail, awaiting a Tax stamp. Couldn't figure out how to post the FB link to the info, October 25 post on FB on their page, you have to call to order.

22 Takedown, Dead Air Mask, AAC Halycon, Rugged Oculus, Q El Camino are all great cans just to name a few. I went with the 22 Takedown which will be dedicated to my CZ 455 but I have a Rugged Oculus pending as well. I think the Oculus will sound great in the short configuration on a 22 bolt gun. I should have it come January to try out.

    Again, no love for Liberty!

Seriously, they make a great .22 can! For the price, try one! Not a big fan of their larger cans, but the monocore design and no tool takedown of the Regulator is great, it also only has 3 parts and will never come out of alignment due to disassembly, cleaning and grime. It's also light and one of the quietest, if not THE quietest there is. 1cc water and no FRP and only noise is the action. Spooky quiet. I can shoot it INSIDE the house out the back door and my wife can't hear it in the kitchen. At all.

Essence weighs 1oz. less, costs nearly $200 more and isn't as quiet, it was one of their earlier designs and was the best at that time too. Regulator costs less and is far better. I have both and I'd get the Regulator again if could do it over. I would like a Sico 4" can, but not sure just how quiet those are. Cool as shit and compact though.

I ordered a AMTAC fire ant for my Vudoo Gun Works V22 rifle. After shooting their demo rifles with them I was totally convinced. Plus last month with a order they were paying your tax stamp.
