Been a big fan/user of Bushy LRHS/LRTS models for AR applications since first purchase couple years back, and other the GAP G2 HS, don’t see any word or rumors of a replacement line from powers that be at Bushnell.
For my usage as a crossover, is a sweet spot in moderately priced, good glass, tracking and reticle design and hate to see it drift offline, with no word of its successor. Have a couple of DMR2 Pro’s, but a bit heavy to balance on smaller frame AR’s.
What say the sales and marketing luminaries from Bushnell?

I’m pretty sure that the LRTS scopes were a commercial disaster for Bushnell.

It very much so accompanied the same spot as the Silencerco Radius - you didn’t know how much you wanted one until you had one.

I’d have use for several of these scopes these days.

That said - I also look at them versus newer girls and don’t see any need for a refresh really.

They did a good job with this thing. Good glass/turrets/reticle/illum. I use it with NV systems all the time and it does great, and the power matches my .224V well.

Take the giant banner off the side, change of he logo to something cool, done, go after another little bit of magnification and done.

I did. break my throw lever thingy the hell off. A quick moment with a hand file and it was smoothed out and back in service.

ETA: Pretty sure some of it also comes from the marketing of scopes that are over the top. They aren’t being used for practical purposes - they are being paraded around as ornaments.

I don’t need a turret the size of a soda can, a 40mm tube, or 68 ounces of the finest glass on the planet. I have to carry this damn thing, not tie a line off to it and chuck it in the lake to immobilize my boat.

If you look at the new NF 4-20 ATACR you can see the spiritual similarities come into play.

LRHS 2 is a limited run mfg’d specifically for GAP. More interested if Bushy has something up their sleeve or if they’re going to let this line swing in the wind.
I don’t see the Prime/Forge/Engage/Nitro lines as any replacement for LRTS/LRHS lines, and with competition in the lighter weight range ie Vortex Razor LHT 4.5-22, Leupold MK5 HD and other of similar capabilities, is Bushnell willing to let this segment go, or compete? Personally, would like to see them in the hunt.

I really wish the would bring back this line. I have 2 of the 4.5-18 and love them. I really regret not buying a couple of the 3-12.

Well…not what I’d hoped to hear, and given an as yet uncertain future, what in your current product mix is meant to fill that price/performance point in your lineup? Great work on the DMR3/XRS3, but also trying to understand why the LRTS/LRHS line was a market slow mover, given its ability to punch above its weight class.

I always felt it was street pricing early on. It was only punching above it’s weight class after deep discounting.

It was for sure punching exactly at the center of its weight class at the original $1450 price.

The second item on my list is that people didn’t want a tactical 30mm scope then as much because they didn’t understand the value of it really.

I think Bushy should bring a Japanese made 2-12 to the market that’s light and friendly with a great reticle - and try to make it $800.

We are always researching quality and value in various scope options and we have started working with Sightron. All riflescope offerings are made in either Japan or the Philippines, the quality and features are excellent. Please take a look and I think you'll feel the same that they are worth considering

The LRHS 3-12 was a darling of the backcountry hunters - on the rare times they turn up on 24 Hour Campfire or Rokslide, they tend to get snapped up.

There are also more than a couple of people who have purchased extras ... just in case they never come back to market ...

i got about 3 extra currently

a couple nit picks with the 3-12 was the smaller fov, smaller eye piece and overall 1/4lb more weight then a 3-9.

not a fan of the donut either.
