Rittenhouse Trial

It's a political prosecution because Rittenhouse simply defended himself, but the biggest reason- it was also Patriot Stuff.

Can't believe the judge goes out of his way to tell everyone not to talk about the case on social media, but yet allows them to have their phones while the trial is going on.

Anyways, as far as I'm concerned today the prosecutors won the day. As much as I hate to admit it, the opening statement from the prosecutor was really good. Maybe I heard it wrong, but I think the defense said that Kyle was gonna testify. I really hope I heard wrong because that kid needs to keep his fucking mouth shut. He's 18 and stupid like we all were back then. Plus the guy who bought the gun for him has already thrown him under the bus to protect his own ass from the felonies he's charged with for buying the gun for a minor. I still feel this is an open and shut case for self defense and the drone IR footage literally didn't show anything other than Rittenhouse and Rosenbaum just happening to be running in the same direction and neither one looked like they were chasing eachother.

You're stoned. Unless you mean the prosecutor did a great job making the defenses case for them.

No, unlike an Iranian whore I'm not stoned. The prosecutor was just plain awful during the motions hearing which is why I was surprised how well he did during opening statements of the trial. Hopefully the judge dismisses the curfew and possession charges so that way Kyle will be acquitted of all charges. Either way it's still not gonna stop the gun grabbers from continuing their frivolous war against the evil blacks rifles. Just remember this trial is only in the media because of the rifle used. Had it been any other type of gun, this thread wouldn't exist.

The FBI video clearly shows that Rittenhouse acted in self defense. He was chased, then he retreated from the rioters. The rioters became a murderous mob and Rittenhouse was forced to defend himself.

That's the way I saw day 1.

The curfew and possession charges aren't the concern and are trivial.

I even jumped to where the prosecutor starts for you, he was laughably bad at this:

I sure hope that the defense team has access to all the footage we saw today, but unedited. I find it very hard to believe that in this day and age where everyone is out vlogging, that no one captured what actually happened. We need to see all available footage unedited.

Oh yeah because Crowder the troll is such a credible source. :ROFLMAO:
crowder just lets others out themselves as idiots. kinda like you just did.
and the prosecutor literally told the jury that st. kyle was chasing convicted child molester rosenbaum.
the "lost" fbi surveillance video proves he is a liar. if it wasn't for crowder, i might have missed that.

So in other words you'd rather get editorialized info instead of raw and unedited huh? Why am I not surprised.

no, just saying i wasn't able to watch or listen live, but somebody posted that crowder thing and i lucked out.
i shouldn't pretend to know much about him, but all i have seen is him putting a microphone in front of people and letting them say stupid shit.

It was a brick in a yellow plastic bag. Not flammable, but dangerous.
It's called a street mace. One plastic bag (or several stuffed inside each other to hold weight) with a brick or two in it. Spin it to create a handle for slinging it into people. It makes a deadly weapon that can be tossed after use without getting much attention. Everyone here should know their tactics, it could save your life one day, or worse you may need to use them yourself.

Guys, the bag the pedo threw is a non starter as a weapon, look at the trajectory, it air balled. Yeah it helps with an assault claim but that's it.
However... the pedo WAS armed, there is a very clear picture in the defense portion of the video, he had a chain in his other hand.

Well, I guess we are just gonna be looking at the trial different ways. I mentioned during the Chauvin trial that I have been studying criminal law in my spare time for the past couple years. So yeah, I look at this trial in a legal and professional way and avoid any type of prejudice so I can learn more. Trust me when I say watching this trial through the eyes of someone learning is way more interesting than just a casual viewer. Although jury selection is always boring as hell no matter how you look at it. :D

First off I wouldn't be caught dead at a protest. Second of all if God forbid I'm forced to use lethal force in a SD situation, I don't want it to be a fair fight. I want it to be as one sided as possible in my favor. If I wanna have a fair fight, I'll rent out a boxing ring at a gym. I really hope @GrumpyOleFart is just trolling us who carry either OC or CC and he's not serious.
It's best to criticize what you can't have or don't understand and mock those that do!! Makes it easier to live in a penis colony.

I listened to the entire stream yesterday and have it on again this morning. I had no prior knowledge that the first witness for the prosecution was this blue falcon "brother" that used to date the sister.

The only place I see this going wrong is, he was a minor armed with a rifle he couldn't purchase himself, that makes the former friend a straw buyer at best and he is facing charges. Why that guy thought it was a good idea letting a 17 y/o take that rifle is beyond me.

And I have no idea why you'd go out into a riot to defend property that isn't owned by you nor a family member.

The shooting was self defense IMO, but I'm not sure that's enough. This is not the kind of 2A case I want to represent me. It's always some convoluted BS and now you're relying on a jury to comprehend it all.

In the minds of the overly sensitive and squeamish- virtually ZERO self defense shootings by LEOs and Civilians are "pure enough"- because there's always someone who will find an aspect of it that they'll use to justify condemning the shooter. It's just an emotional reaction by the oversensitive.

The cold hard truth is that our Founders by necessity caused British blood to flow freely and vice versa. Defensive shootings can also be bloody and cringe inducing- because that's the nature of this business. It's time for everyone to put their big boy pants on and stop being so sensitive and critical.

I completely disagree with your premise. You have Congress members stating they've never heard of a good guy with a gun stopping a bad guy and somehow he never heard of the guy in the Tx church that stopped a shooter with one shot.

These cases aren't going to make national news and that's the problem when you want your narrative to be "gun" violence. As useless as the NRA is these days literally every issue of the American Rifleman has multiple instances of self defense shooting which are clean and no charges are filed.

You cherry picked my reply to take it out of context... I edited my above comment for clarification of my point, which is that we in the gun community are too picky about which self defense shootings we'll support and which we'll condemn. In typical Republican fashion we don't stick together like our domestic enemies do. Please put me on your Ignore list. Thnx

I'd bet that you do not cringe about all the under age kids that lied about their age to fight in the WW's....my wife's grandpa being one.

C'mon man! It was a completely different era. Do you even think there'd have been a trial in the 1940's? The entire town probably would've shot every little prick that tried to set anything on fire.

In this litigious society we find ourselves in TODAY, do you want to start off your self defense trial by shooting yourself in the foot?

What is the point of carrying a rifle to a riot if you didn't consider the possibility that you may use it? Or were you just "brandishing" it in the hope it would scare the bad people away? Maybe I'm just ignorant of the ROE in Kenosha and it's a great idea.

You aren't ignorant. You just don't believe in people having the right to protect themselves.

I also question the basic premise of “why was he even there”

Kid…..KID was 17! If he gets ANY jail time his parents should each get double.
Because those 4 additional months before he turned 18 would've made all the difference. He was old enough to join the military. The DA charged him as an adult as well, so clearly they consider him old enough to be responsible for his own actions. It's crazy that everyone here is unanimously opposed to the constant chipping away of the 2A, but now there's multiple people here acting like your Constitutional rights don't kick it until you turn 18.

You aren't ignorant. You just don't believe in people having the right to protect themselves.
OMFG, work for CNN or MSNBC much? I believe in the right of self defense. And the first part of believing that, is protecting my prison purse virginity by not putting myself into a questionable situation and using a gun.

So while I HOPE he isn't convicted I don't like the odds compared to three idiots in OK kick in your backdoor and you smoke them all with your AR, case closed. And the getaway driver gets convicted for murder.

I believe he was there to protect a building, but he stated that he would be their to help anyone who needed medical assistance. You can hear him call out to the masses in the video. He left his "post" to assist anyone who needed help. Probably wasn't the best idea but he had a pure heart. He didn't go looking for a fight, the fight came to him.

From what I've heard in the trial, it was the car lots which neither he nor his family have no interest in. The testimony yesterday is that he got a call from someone saying there's nobody at one of the car lots, he needs to go there with someone else to defend it. Yes, he's obviously carrying more than an IFAK and you've clearly heard him asking if anybody needs aid. But he didn't NEED to be there.

An argumentative prosecutor is going to say he came looking for a fight, with a rifle, and he found one. Your actions look a lot more virtuous with just a med kit. Of course, he might be dead then. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
