So I took a spare case, loaded a 175gr SMK (no primer or powder of course), seated it to 2.815 (meplat), colored the bullet black with a sharpie, and chambered it slowly. It fed, I extracted it, saw my rifle grooves in the sharpie ink.
Here's the funny thing, OAL to meplat was 2.8135", and 2.234" to o-give "jammed".
Is this normal?
