Nice day to be out at the range. 85f this morning on arrival, very nice day, but had a decent amount of wind.

This trip was the first with the Bushnell Elite Tactical 3200 10x40. Took very minor elevation adjustment from mechanical zero. No windage adjustments needed.

I found this target while searching through a sticky post. It helped not having to use all of my 1" shoot-n-see dots. I wanted to run the bulk Federal 36gr against the Eley Club and Target I recently received.

Wind was 9mph from my 4 o'clock. The difficulty at this range is that rimfire rifles must stay on the 50-yard pistol range. You have everyone shooting next to you leaning on and off of the bench, which creates a lot of movement. Good practice to remain calm and breath, then wait for a good time to squeeze the trigger. The Eley shoots better than the Federal. I was starting to get tired at the end of the Federal line and rushed the last two dots.

This is the first time with the new scope, second with the Manners T4, and fourth time on any rifle outside the AR-platform.

I recently bought one of those, too, but I went the cheap route and dropped it in a Boyd's Tacticool and added a BSA Sweet .22 scope. I am really, really impressed with the accuracy of it. It beats some of my much more expensive .22s. My only complaint is the cheap flimsy magazines and the cheap mag release. And I love the fact that I only have about $400 into the whole setup.

I feel the same way about the mags and release. Doing it over again, I would do the CZ with Manners, then cut and thread the barrel. The FVSR will do ok in it's manners though, and will make a good host for my can when it arrives.

50yds?!
That would suck.
This weekend I had my 93FVSS out in the wind (gusts to 25mph coming from 9 o'clock) shooting at 150m.
About 1/2 the shots stayed in the 3" bull of the target I was shooting at, the rest added up to a 5" 20 shot group.
Boy, does wind every wreak havoc with a rimfire round at longer ranges.

The 50 yard range is ok for setting a zero, but a drag for anything else. I have a lot of places to shoot outdoors, so I will start walking my gong out to an uncounted distance and see if I can dial in for distance and wind. The fun stuff starts now!!
