Schumer Says No to $1200 for Everyone

Well! Fuck. Me. Running.

Never thought i’d agree with chuck on anything....even if it is only part way.

But just handing out money to every swinging dick, i dont like. How about we stop payroll deductions? To fuck with giving anyone money....just let us keep what we earn. That’d help a pile. And for folks laid off or at home? Absolutely....unemployment benefits.

^^This right there^^

I laughed when AOC and her band of merry CUNTS cried foul when Trump wanted to cut the payroll taxes.

And I quote " Trump is giving corporate welfare out by stopping payroll tax deductions"
I never in my life thought she could be that dumb.
Sure the business may make a point or two by not having to spend that money quarterly.

As for the free money, I say the ONLY people that should see a bump would be people that have or did have a job and folks on Social Security

Those assholes that are on welfare wanting free shit, extra powdered milk and cheese

So, trillions of dollars in compassionate socialism for the criminal billionaire banksters that created this mess and rugged individualist, sink or swim capitalism for all of us peons?

Fuck that.

We are wayyyyyy past considerations of moral hazard here.

The Gov could have paid off every mortgage and student loan in the Country with what they gifted to our elite white collar criminal class just last week.

Fed stroked a check for 17 trillion? Didn’t hear about that.

Brother, let me be CRYSTAL clear here.....you and i do NOT disagree on the billionare banksters. I was addressing the “checks for everyone” part.

If we want to do better, we run for office. Otherwise, we're just flapping gums.

Say we do run, say we win. First term, it's sit over there in the corner boy, and do as you're told; we hear a peep out of you, and it's no meaningful committee assignments, and no party aid at reelection time. First term, we raise funds from day one, and we vote the party line. There is nothing else for the freshman Congress Critter.

Maybe second term, we get to actually initiate something we promised a whole election cycle earlier. If it's even still relevant...

Election promises from non-incumbents are flat out barefaced lies, and the folks who make them know it from the get-go.

Wake up, people; THAT's the way the system works.

I've been telling us all, for years, that democracy is a failed experiment. It's entire purpose is to explain to the voters how their power is passed to the elected, and then, to destroy any smidge of initiative in those elected from day one on the job. It's party on with us, or it's take your party out to the curb. If you last, you finally get a say, but most don't. Turn on the party, and you're the dog's breakfast. The MSM running dogs will see to that. They're paid well to do so, it's called election advertising. It pays their salaries. Follow the money.

Rant over...

Greg

If you lost a job you should be an option for assistance. If you did not then you do not. People on welfare should not be rewarded further. People that have opted out of the workforce should not be rewarded further. People that don’t want a check should have the option of refusal.
You would be a fool to opt out if a checks were to be written. If you are anything like me then you have paid in hundreds of thousand in tax dollars over the years. If I can get a bit back I would in a heartbeat.

I agree with everything else. We may agree all the way around though. You did say you wanted an opt out option. You didnt say you would opt out yourself.

Rationalization at it's best....

they’ll get whatever they “give” you back at some point, and in spades-with interest. you better BELIEVE that.

Just so I've got this straight - due to an as-yet unrealized national threat, President Donald Trump is considering approval of corporate welfare/bailouts, another TARP, helicopter money, and expanded welfare benefits that will lay the groundwork for a universal living wage? Did I miss anything that has been on the Sanders/socialist checklist?

Nothing is free even when it’s your own money being given back. Ain't that some shit.

i never said I am for the check, but you bet your ass if it were being given out I would want one. I make to much to get a check (my own money) back anyhow.

Nope. You nailed it

Do you think Trump has someone reading trough Sanders manifesto and throwing ideas on the table and Trump just doubles down on it.

Next month Green New deal will be on the desk. Suddenly dementia joe can be considered extreme rightwing compared to Donald ,Bernie doesnt need bother with running at all now that Donald is taking over.

So far it seems Covid19 and Trump will be the most socialist admin in US history ,note all the pundits on TV ,suddenly running communist talking points ,goverment should pay for X ,shuld pay for Y ,should bail out Z ,should subsidise this ,natonalise that.

How about not projecting your opinions on me. I have paid more than my fair share of taxes and am happy to pay my share. I would opt out of the check because I have way more than I need. I would prefer the money go to someone that needs it. It is nothing about “only a fool would”, rather it is about not being greedy and being happy with what you have.

I’m not projecting anything on you.
We differ in that I want to keep what is mine. Nobody deserves it more than my family. I wouldn’t mind paying “my fair share” if everyone else would pay theirs. The same people who you wouldn’t mind giving your money to would slit your throat in a heartbeat if it come down to it.

You could do more good by taking that check you are willing to turn down and giving it personally to a family in need and not let some welfare rat that thinks he deserves it take it.

Not putting words in your mouth. Read my signature.

I like how you can tell me how best to give away my check while it sounds like you would keep yours. Interesting.

Keep it then if you get one ? I only said that because you didn’t want it. Why are you trying to find a reason to bitch. This is all theoretical. Not real. Good grief.

Mine is the problem of rent for the business spaces. If .gov tells the consumer not to go out, then there is no rent money coming in.

we pay a good bit of taxes, I’d like some back please.
