*mk12 mod 0 i built from spare parts i had lying around. it is functional as an ar-15 but I am running it as .22LR right now with these specs:

-spikes no-shelf lower
-geissele SSA 2-stage trigger (yes it works in a 22lr)
-CMMG bravo model stainless 22lr conversion bcg (pic shows regular bcg)
-spec mk12 mod 0 parts including PRI forend & gas block, ARMS top rail, ARMS 40L buis, Ops inc collar & brake
-barrel is 1-9, really likes rem subsonics... shooting quarter sized groups at 50ft rapid fire
-Falcon 1.5-5x30 optic

Most recent acquisition is a JP LRP-07H in .308. I added the thermal dissipator, silent capture spring and the UBR stock. It has a Bushnell ET 3-12 mounted on top. It's pictured in a Larue mount but I have since changed to the JP mount that the rifle came with. I haven't shot it yet but I can tell that I'm going to love it.

After talking with Sig, and the new 716 Precision currently being redesigned from the ground up, again, I just snagged another 716 Patrol with a Vortex PST 1-4, and ordered an Armalite SASS-A that takes Pmags. Armalite should be here in a week or two hopefully and gets a Vortex Razor HD 5-20x50 to see how it works... if it sucks, to the Hide it goes and a large check to Nightforce for another ATACR.

I've been wanting one of these for a while and my LGS had one marked way down so I traded them straight across for another rifle I had. Going to add a silencerco saker brake, and putting a IOR 2-12x32 in a larue mount on it. May or May not change up the stock and grip depended on how I like them after a few range sessions. I've heard these are pretty accurate with 62's and 77's so I guess we will see.

Nowhere near as cool or precision minded as what some of you have built for the new year, but here is my humble addition for 2014. My 12 year old brother stayed with us for a few weeks over Christmas/New Years and decided he wanted his "own" AR-15. He did 99% of the work, only needing help with torqueing a few things, installing the trigger group, and installing the trigger guard.

I dug through my junk and extra pile, and came up with just about enough stuff to build the complete rifle. He picked out the sling and MOE mid-length hand guard at the local sporting goods store. The Nikon P-223 and mount were prizes from a shoot, so I only put about $60.00 into the build.

Turned out to be a really handy little carbine. He put a couple hundred rounds through it during a couple sub-zero range visits and maybe 300 more indoors. Really seems to like 69 gr Sierras over Benchmark. He shot quite a few 2.5-3" groups at 100, especially considering the 3x optic and his inexperience. Every once in a while he would start putting together a really good group and blow it with the last round. He can't wait to come back this spring and wring out "his" rifle some more!

I hate you because I'm jealous. I want that buttstock. I wonder when Lancer will make it available as an individual part. I'm happy to see it out in the wild in a consumer's arms, even if it is on a complete build.

Thanks. I'm extremely happy with it. I actually have a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10x40 M3 FFP on my P308 that's getting moved to the Recce in a ADM QD Mount with Troy FDE BUIS. Switching from the Nightforce rings to the ADM QD mount so I can pop off the Mark4 and throw on a Browe 4x BCO 5.56 when needed.

Thanks, and the Samson Evolution series have a 1.56" internal diameter. The TBAC suppressor *should* fit, as the outside diameter is 1.5" but that .06" isn't much to play with. I'm not sold on the Samson Evolution yet however, as I can shift it side to side just a bit. It doesn't shift enough to touch the barrel or the Noveske KX3, but enough that you can tell it shifted. I contacted Samson a few days ago for some advice or tips, but haven't heard back from them yet.

Got the pistol to the range this morning though; it ran perfect. I shot 125-grain SMK ammo, supersonic of course. The rifle cycled fine, and I didn't experience any gas blowback to the face which I had heard can happen with these shorter builds. I fired 30 rounds total as that's all I had time for. The Primary Arms dot was on the money once sighted in, and I was happy with everything overall. I can't wait to get it suppressed.

Here's a few updated pics. Got the TSD Kompressor, ERGO Grip, B.A.D. Ambi Safety and Diamondhead Micro BUIS installed then put 120rds of 55gr FMJ through it today to function test. Ran flawlessly without a single issue.

I had the Diamondhead Micro BUIS NIB in the closet that I just threw on to function test the rifle. Gonna throw them in the For Sale section tonight so I can buy either the Troy's or another set of Diamondheads in FDE to match the rifle.

Borrowed a Hogue floating forearm tube and nut, as well as a rail adaptor from an old AR pistol project and assembled the upper. Fits good on my DPMS lower, haven't gotten it to the range yet.

300 Blackout build weighing in at 7.1 lbs with empty Magpul mag. Build still in progress. Got it out to the range and shot one mag just for function and reliabilty testing. Need to source more ammo then back to the range.
Upper build consists of 16" (25.1 ounce), 5 groove, cut rifled from 300 Blackout Satern barrel, a LWS Black Cerakote upper receiver (sourced from same friend as barrel) 16", Seekins adjustable gas block, Wilson Combat BCG, Fortis 12" Keymod rail, Noveske Keymod rail panels, PWS Triad flash suppressor, Troy H&K style front sight, Troy DOA rear sight and Magpul MVG foregrip.
Lower build consists of a Mega lower receiver (manufactured for a local gunsmith), Daniel Defense LPK, PWS 416 enhanced buffer tube, MOE grip, trigger guard and MFT Minimalists stock.

I have an Magpul MS2 sling to add to it. Im also adding an optic and light for Hog hunting.
