Yes. There is also a automatic mode which should get you close.

Sounds pretty frustrating, I never even messed with my V4, as soon as it showed up I sent it packing. Lol.. The V3 with the Ingenuity Precision is a really good option too, mine is working great!

The only part that was clunky with the V3 was unplugging the trickler to empty the powder.. with the Ingenuity Precision that's simple now. I can have it emptied out in a few minutes.

To me, that doesn't look quite as simple as you think to empty.. It looks like a pain in the ass lifting it up full of powder with the cables hanging off, grabbing a funnel and holding it and shaking it above a powder canister. And are you gonna just shove your scale out of the way like that? Not me.. I dont like to move my scale once it's setup.. I will agree with you that Adam's trickler was a pain unplugging and emptying the tube and reservoir, but the hopper is as simple as it gets, so is the Ingenuity Precision... I may still order one of these to have both, but the Henderson trimmer will probably come first. Lol

That video convinced me that the ST is VASTLY superior to the ATV4. I can’t wait to get mine and offload my ATV4 on the cheap. I think Adam got stuck thinking in a box with the rotating tube. The vibrator is clearly superior. The speed of that thing is absolutely amazing exp with the large 20n29 and n570 powders. And the user interface and functionality and statistics are superb. No blietooth to the phone an integrated touch screen!

Couldn't agree more about the V4, I'm just glad I was able to move mine quickly before I got stuck with it. LOL. All the shimming and stuff is bullshit..

Have followed the Super trickier development since the start when it was FB page of folks making DIY tricker conversions. This is now a fully industrially made unit with mayor components tested ad certified, not 3d printed parts collection that end up with 419 billet aftermarket upgrades, Autotrickler V4 is not even close and its just the beginning Super Trickler has upgrade and expansion potential built-in.

*Disclaimer run an Autotrickler V3/Sartorious combo and have been on the Autotricklers since V1

One of the things Supertrickler might add in the future is auto-dispensing onto cases in the loading block or directly into the powder charge funnel on the press. Imagine 200cases filed without manual input.

To say he's stuck in a box at this point doesn't do him justice, whether his product is better or worse is still to be seen. Regardless, he's an OG in this market.

I've ordered an ST but I'm also willing to acknowledge that there's a good chance there will be ST101's going for cheap in the PX. I'm extremely hopeful that won't be the case though.

This also need not be perceived as throwing anyone under the bus. Engineering minds can get stuck thinking in a box. The super Troeckler obviously thought out of the box represented by the rotating tube. Every single version of the AutoTrickler was based on that rotating tube which goes back generations From hand Trickler‘s And just adapting a motor to them. Each subsequent improvement had to do with getting the bulk of the powder onto the scale but the topping off always depended upon that rotating tube. The super tickler guys seem to have circumvented that problem by using a vibratory mechanism which by all accounts seems superior but only time will tell. I would think that if you had a Product launch as fraught with hiccups as this one with countless threads on tips and shims and every other thing that you would want to look back and reevaluate how that you might’ve focused on one problem but ignored another one along the way. I could be wrong

He says in the video that the aluminum cup is included with it and showed a number of aluminum parts that they are getting. There won’t be any 3-D printed parts on this it sounds like. I am not sure about the power source

Preciate the reply. I honestly didnt watch all of the video or very many of the ones out there yet. Just seen a few and some prettt good reviews on them. Just now starting to do some research on them

The trickling method was kinda chosen as a way around dual trickier patents from what i remember originally it was a spinning tube as well

I like the way the interface looks on it, just a couple of dislikes I have from seeing it so far, the way you empty it is my main gripe but maybe that isn't as bad as it seems and if it has issues your shipping it to Australia for repair.

419 has other businesses to run...Bringing new stuff to market is operationally risky and sometimes its a risk better undertaken by a dedicated outfit.

IIRC 419 they said back in the spring the supply chain was unpredictable for new products (ie sourcing the bits and pieces) and one presumes didn't want to get tied up with unpredicatble launch schedules. this would risk tying up other resources marketing etc from their main product lines.

Maybe somebody else knows more...

Honestly I don't think so. The Ingenuity Precision trickler is superior. The disc's have a built in advantage because they can deliver one kernel of even ball powder. Now you do have to change disc's, if that could be done within the machine and combined with a v4 type or super trickler type set up in one machine it would be the king of the mountain.

As it stands, perhaps the ST can deliver one kernel at a time with lots of powders perhaps it can't, but the IP can do that.

I think OEMs need to really spend more time and engineering about powder removal. Of course excellent design can probably solve this problem, but this is a 'trust but verify' type situation from my perspective. I would like to have some kind of visual inspection of the chamber, but lets see how it works once its in the field.

Regarding 419, this is the pertinent part of what they posted back in January about the dissolution of that relationship. Both parties seem complimentary of each other. Just wasn't the right fit.

They are assembled and shipping out of Denmark. The one of the designers is in Denmark and the other in Australia.

They have powered through all kinds of supply chain issues and setbacks. These guys have experience bringing products to market prior to this and are leveraging that experience. Those that are waiting for V4 are probably going to wait a long time as this is more like V5 they are producing. Rather than bring a prototype to market having customers R&D, upgrade, repeat. they have done the R&D in advance. Each revision was put out to the Facebook group for brutal feedback and most of that was integrated. Some of the things I thought were going to be gimmicky have turned out super cool. The red/green led to confirm charge is one example of that. Display went from super simple to full color nice. Cabinet color almost ended up orange which I think would have been a mistake. One of the designers was super frustrated the shade of grey plastic is slightly off from the scale, almost delayed production if that gives an idea of the level of OCD going on. I suspect there will still be some software updates, maybe a tube or something but it should be a solid product from the get go. Original prototypes were 3d printed. Production models are not.

I am going to run some VV570 in it as soon as I get mine to jamb it up if it will. Then something super fine. If it will feed and meter per kernel both of those extremes we should be good to go. I, like others have mentioned, am skeptical of the powder change out. I have seen a couple of the original units sent out reviewed showing the changeout is trouble free - still skeptical. It all looks good so far but not fully out in the wild yet so we shall see.

As far as guys being defensive about the V4, I wonder what they would do if tomorrow a V5 came out that circumvented all of the problems with that little tube in the V4. I wonder how many of the staunch defenders of the V4 would then be pissed because their beloved machine with its faults and idiosyncrasies (that they ignored or did not experience) is now next to worthless because everybody is adopting the V5. The V4 resale value would be killed, because who would want to have one with all of those known problems After a “fixed” version had been released?

It is a hard place to navigate. You have to spin the V5 as the natural progression of the product rather than a fix to V4 deficiencies, else you risk the wrath of people saying you sold them a defective product

Yesterday was the plan. At least for production units. Obviously some pre-production ones are already out but it seems like those people didn't get them till just before the actual release?

He did it with one powder w grain weights of 0.02 so it matched up one at a time by 0.02 to 0.3 grains. I forget which powder and it was the only one. To be fair it wouldn’t work with kernels that didn’t have round number weights

The thing that is frustrating about the V4 is that Adam admitted the main reason for it being made was to make production a more simple process and I have no doubt that he did accomplish that. I never thought the super trickler would make it to see the light of day, but it's getting close. The vibratory small tube is nothing new and has worked well for other tricklers but at this point it has proven that it is superior to the small rotating tube. Then I think the disk system done correctly is the best system bc it separates the kernels before dropping them. Hopefully someone is creating a system that takes the best of all of these systems. But I am glad we have competition in this market now and not just the autotrickler and the prometheus.

I saw it. Impressive. Rex replied saying he tweaked the settings for 5 minutes to get those results (which was the goal - tweak for fast times for the video which is why he was a little surprised he had no overages on 5 throws.). He also said he can tweak it fast bc he’s so familiar with the machine, insinuating that it would take average joe longer. The saving grace of the whole thing for me is I don’t have to fu@k around with a shim and I can save the settings and be GTG the next time I use that powder - so my upfront time pays off over the long term. Rex also said the AI feature is NOT as good as manual tweaking which was a bit of a buzzkill
