Guys, some of these threads are not worth the effort.
MOST good members here already agree on 99.9% of the political issues, so these "fringe" posts are serving no purpose other than to draw in trolls and God knows what else from the propaganda shitholes of the Internet.
The uptick in new member requests originating from Eastern Europe, China, Africa, and other at at best questionable regions is marked in the last few days.
In other words, the shit is drawing flies.
Before you post something take a moment to run it through a few filters and think about the kinds of attention it may draw to this site, not only in terms of unwanted presences spewing opposition propaganda, but higher up the ladder in terms of possible coordinated hacks and attacks.
First and foremost this places is about shooting. Let's ease it back in that direction.

Here's a perfect example of what we deal with when we're not pulling you all off each other and trying to figure out who started it.
Spammer this morning signed up in April from Ukraine. The boss wants us to allow foreign signups because there are active members here who "travel".
The ISP looked clean (not previously reported for SPAM) so the account was activated.
Damned thing lied dormant until this morning, when it posted spam.
I'll discuss with HMFIC about whether we can set a switch to toggle off accounts that signup and then go dormant for a period time. There are likely more of them. I've been putting some questionable signups on a manual watch list of my own lately, but it's not an effective measure.

Yes, you have used it in the past, and from what I've seen it's mostly when you've taken a dissenting opinion of someone as though it was a personal affront to your very existence. The game of Escalation requires two or more to play.
Some of your reports have boiled down to no more than, "They disagreed with me, so they should be reprimanded."
That's not going to get too much time and effort.

LRShooter 101, good suggestion, it's been made a lot of times. But the Bear Pit remains, and it should remain. If you're a Marine, you know the origin of the name; a place to take it to the mat, all rules are in abeyance. It would seem that's not a good idea, but in the end, it is; because alternatives end up being worse. The Marines are very practical in such matters, and in some ways it actually underscores the rank structure. I would much rather take it to the Bear Pit than do the Article 15 Two-Step. At 72, 6 1/2ft, and 162lb, it's predictable how that might turn out, but I'd still rather do it that way.

Me, I keep forgetting about the rules being in abeyance, that's my cross to bear. And yes, I get miffed out of turn sometimes.

Maggie's Drawers is a catch-all forum. Believe it or not, it started out largely being about recipes. It's changed some, Oh Yes...
